From The Adelaide United facebook:

The Adelaide United Football Club advises that as part of the review process of the 2010/11 season and restructuring for 2011/12, Assistant Coach Phil Stubbins will not be part of the coaching panel. Thanks Phil and we wish you well in the future!

would it really be that bad? perhaps a change in number 2 will give the team the change it needs...I'm not too sure how much influence Trani has/did have on the team but I can't see his moving on being a bad thing.

Trani is a huge asset, he does a lot of the day to day work and has an excellent grasp of ability and tactics.

Don't under-estimate his impact on the side.

that's all well and good, and I'm sure losing him will be a great loss, but noone is irreplaceable people! there are and will be plenty of decently qualified and effective manaers/coaches out there who want a shot at the a-league.

can we just stop the panicking, the off season is going to be hell with you doom merchants prattling on.

Hey, I'm the king of positive spin generally, which indicates how much of a loss I think Trani would be.

this is true, and I suppose there will be some teething issues with any new addition to the coachin ranks, good or not there will be someone out there who can do the same if not better job than Trani - not saying he's done a bad job, but maybe a change is what the team needs to push them to the next level.
