Did ADP pick up any? Would love a kiwi getting the award, even if its a little bit bitter if Marco got it.

Even if Rojas won, he'd never be nominated for a halberg

Fenton still our best for the award? Makes little sense.... Oh wait the system is flawed, yes it does!

Good updates by the way.

Siggy is on 6 points. Wondering how Rogic got 3 points against us, can't say he stood out.

How the hell did Nick Ward get a point?   Even D-Mac has a couple.

You only need 1 half decent game to get a point or two.

Or score a goal, that's how D-Mac got 3 in round 1.

Scored the winner in a derby, surprised they didn't give him double.

Another three points for Marco.

Biggest chance of Marco not getting the Alex Tobin is if Sydney get dramatically worse as a team. If that happens, surely ADP gets three points every game regardless.

Permalink Permalink

Hmm more likely the points would go to opposition player/s though. If Sydney get worse itd be harder and harder for ADP to make a meaningful impact on games.

Conspiracy theorists might say he'll still get occasional (mandatory) free kicks or get the points anyway because he plays well even when they lose (regardless of what happens on the field).

Not sure when they go behind closed doors, must be soonish.

Don't think they are going to be able to go behind closed doors this season, because they are also used as the bonus points in Fox Sports Fantasy A-League.

ADP gets 3 points because he scored after the defender gifted him the goal? Sheesh, just give him the trophy now #Rigged

Well, it will be interesting to see who wins the Johnny Warren Medal and the Alex Tobin Award.

There have probably been 4 players that have been better than the rest.

ADP

Ono

Rojas

Vidosic

The points seem to align with that with the exception of Ono.

Its good to see Wee Mac up there. He has very much been an under the radar footballer and its good to see him getting recognition. I think he has been moved a bit higher up the field which may be part of it. When you consider 2 of the top 3 are Kiwi....

Totally agree about Wee Mac. I thought he played well last year, but he has stepped up further this season, one of the best for sure. Has very good ball control on the dribble. Good to see him taking defenders on and beating them

I think Wee Mac has spent less that a year of his life in NZ.

Can't help thinking the FFA will snow job this so ADP gets the gong. It would be great publicity for the awards ceremony to have him get an award. Rojas will get best young player or best midget or something. Tough on Rojas because he got dicked out of points early in the season when he was on fire.  Mind you Rojas could have a few blinders before the season ends....potentially he could get Tobin, Golden Boot and best midget
