As a footy fan who will be a season ticket holder for the new franchise (will travel up from Hamilton), who decided on that name? Is there a site like this for the Auckland site - if so please post so I can look to join and add to.
And finally, expect to get shark on here, you are representing a rival club, just as any NIX fans on any AFC forum should expect the same. Both sides just need to keep it respectful and fun.
Up the Port doesn't work for me personally - would love to know what other options existed.
"Up the Port" is the stupidest slogan/logo/whatsit ever. It's completely unrelatable. "Yellow Fever" is really good (and I'm Kingz with no particular interest in the Nix). No one in Auckland, apart from the dockers, has even been to the Port, it's restricted access - so to champion it is bizarre.......the Council wanted to sell it for muchos money..... "Up the Traffic Jam"....."Up the unaffordable housing".....
"The Port" is the only name I've seen for AKLFC active support which isn't either totally cringe, or a ripoff of YF.
You can piss an entire lifetime away arguing in circles around a name. Kudos to these guys for finding a flag to rally about. I assume that anyone else who thinks up a *better* name will use it, rally their own crew around it, and then the support groups can see who's more successful.
There is a seperate group with ‘The Port’ fans, separate from the Auckland FC supporters page. It’s not too difficult to find. We do vet people wanting to join though to avoid overloading of people just wanting to be nosey.
Not everyone likes the name. So what? We’re not going to change it. No matter what name we call ourselves, someone will cry about it.

Dolores for the win 🔵⚫️🔵⚫️
Transfer bids start at $50 million and a promise to move either NHS closer to Albany station or the other way around…
Quite surprised at how bad/cringe the akl socials are. Thought foley was bringing some marketing people over from the golden knights
yeah, it's drop-dead awful lol. graphics are cool but communications are unrefined and a shambles, and some of the things they've been tweeting are straight-up embarrassing (the streaker and the lame Fred Again attention-grab)

I'm on Team "Bulldoze NHS and build a boutique stadium on the Shore". Of course I'm also on Team "Bulldoze Eden Park, waterfront stadium plus Test cricket at Western Springs or Victoria Park", but no-one listens to me there either.
And best wishes to the Port, but if I turn up to AKLFC games it will probably be with the embryonic "left-wing Ultras" crew

Ahem, I suggested test cricket in at vic park in another thread on here. Probably a rare instance where we both agree on something.
Kudos to the dude for being the first open AFC fan here. And for bringing a theme and firing up. Let’s be a bit more hospitable surely.
And yeh many of us are waaaay ahead on what the various meanings of the YF are…
How can I block him?
Me? Or the port lad? I’m still in training. Not Wellington enough to be Fever Elite. Inquires to the higher ups!
Once I was heard suggesting that some cafes like Havana in the late 90s had somewhat dodgy approaches to casual work cos everyone should want to work there irrespective… and I was surprised when I ran into Anna Paquin that one time like Wellywood wasn’t a thing…never worked directly for the government I don’t think…can’t use excel or do a proper trend line. Think Mojo is a soulless evil empire perhaps worse than other lamer chains.

Your team is having its best season ever but all you lot in here have been talking about is Auckland Auckland Auckland. Complaining/criticising the club name, saying ‘The Port’ name suuucks. Don’t panic about us. Yes our team will be better than yours. Yes we’ll have more money than you. Yes our crowd will be better than yours, but at least you lot will have something to aspire to aye? Just enjoy this season with your team doing well, it’s definitely going to be the last. Up the Port!! 🔵⚫️🔵⚫️

you'll note that this is but one thread on the forum, this thread is dedicated to Auckland FC. so it makes sense that your team is the focus.
