If the shore was all that, they would have a football stadium people would frequent.
Auckland FC - Once the Knights, Always the Knights

Sounds perfect for an ex EPL footballer and his family.
Hiroki Sakai has announced he is leaving Urawa Red Diamonds to join a “foreign club”. The Japan international has been linked with a move to Auckland FC. pic.twitter.com/OY89qvwP8L

The Port - Auckland FC
The good news keeps coming for The Port!
The Newcastle Jets are set to face Auckland FC in a pre-season friendly in August, with Steve Corica’s side travelling to New South Wales that month. It will be one of potentially eight pre-season friendlies for the Jets. [@newcastleherald]https://t.co/QbZP4P78Dq

Brimmer & Hall your Aussies. Elliot & Champness the leading (non scholarship) Kiwi candidates.
Corica has said the visa players likely won't be confirmed until July/August.
Tend to agree, before last season I could see there being a few that were watching, but after last season's run of injuries Id expect the suitors would be looking at other options. Even if he's healthy now, the risk of getting injured again is just too high, especially for a new club who will want to make a mark early on the league.
Sakai signed apparently.
No word on announcement though. Had seen another bloke who was associated with the port say 'Keep an eye out on Thursday' but I haven't heard anything else sorry.
Dan Hall & Joey Champness.
That announcement graphic’s absolutely class!

Manny Muscat stepping back into the A-League. 😆
glossed over that initially, but Jake Brimmer's Maltese...
Jake Brimmer is of Maltese/Scottish heritage
That will give them 10 senior signings (8 Kiwis) plus the 6 scholarship guys.
Five more signings will be revealed for Auckland FC this week, including the first non-Kiwis. Squad building nicely. @aleaguemen @fc_auckland

Pretty sure the 5th will be Sakai given he's done the whole farewell thing with his former club in Japan.
Have asked the question though just in case there are any surprises in stock.
The other paper at the bottom "Coast Community News", is a rag on the Central Coast.

Think he is also worth a whole day announcement just for him?

Can’t make out the stories from that image.

Dan Hall is an excellent pickup for them. Nowhere the profile of Krishna but he is Fijian heritage, so that will drag a few from Papatoetoe through the gate.
Wonder if they will just pick some young players now as backups to Smith and Hall, or go with a visa as well. I guess Sakai if he is yes signing, can also switch across to CB from RB.
