Looks like CCM is resting a few key players. Hopefully the Heart still won't be able to break their luckless streak outside Melbourne.

Not much happening so far. Heart look content with a draw.

This is boring.

FFA - see what happens when the games aren't simultaneous?

Decent effort from Garcia. He's been one of the few bright spots for Heart this season. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a yellow and black stripey.

Tadic should have put his chance away.

Very harsh red card. I don't think he did that on purpose. Penalty was enough.

I agree. His head was turned away as the shot came in and his arm was in front of his chest, not spread wide to stop the ball.

Still, not complaining at the scoreline!

Rules are down to interpretation though, so it cant really be argued. In the sense that he through himself towards the ball, arms and all, that can be interpreted as intentional.

Perhaps he should've left his arms behind.

I dont think pen was overly harsh. If someone throws themselves at the ball like that and didnt get sent off and you missed the pen - you would be mightily farked off

Lol, Melbourne Heart player walking down the tunnel screaming "Every week! It's a fucking disaster".

Everton, I think you caught the bit I didn't catch properly.

Dodgy, dodgy red card. Never a handball, so should never have been a penalty nor a red card.

Hilarious. Bosnich's justification for the red card is that if Gillett didn't give it he'd be out of contention to ref the grand final.

Once the ref had given the penalty, it had to be a red card. It wasn't an intentional handball, so shouldn't have been a penalty.

Bozza's right in the sense that if Gillett gave the penalty but didn't show a red card, he'd be in trouble with the Boss Refs. Don't think anyone would have argued if Gillett had been an unintentional handball.

That was rubbish. Normally he has very knowledgeable comments but that was bad.

It was harsh as the shot came from a few yards away.

Have always thought this ref was crap. That ended my enjoyment in the game.

Very harsh.

If it's a penalty, it's a red card. It's the Laws of the Game.

Yeah i agree. Its not like he was standing still and the ball hit him. He moved toward the ball, hand out stretched in front of his body, doesnt really leave the ref with much choice.
