What is it with the 8yr old looking linos this season?

I confirm that at least one of them is most DEFINITELY not 8 years old.
That one is going to be a lino at Westpac tomorrow.

Whats happened to Troy Hearfield? Is he injured? With all CCM's changes, he still couldn't make the squad.

that's a disingenuous comment. The test would still be whether intentional. The problem we have now is that refs want to give a pen bc a goal has been prevented by the arm, but are then committed to a red card bc by definition a penalty requires an intentional hand ball. There should be room to give a penalty to compensate for the goal denied but without harshly punishing a player (and team) who has acted without intent.
a penalty doesn't compensate for a goal denied though. You have to actually score the penalty

He does not play for them anymore. On loan to an Indonesian club.

well if you're plugging for the "penalty goal" just come out and say it. Every suggestion is a good suggestion amongst friends.

Same referee as Perth v Nix in Auckland as well as the lino.

When did that happen? Totally missed that.

So even a draw between Perth and Adelaide will be enough for a) Sydney to fall to 7th, b)  Adelaide to remain 4th, all on goal difference. Correct?

a) yes.
b) no. If Victory were to then lose tomorrow by 2 or more goals, they would go fourth on GD.

no. I'm saying a sending off gives a real advantage. A penalty doesn't (necessarily). As per my original comment CCM would be well farked off if the player wasn't sent and the pen was saved.

That won't help Glory's goal scoring record. Vuka would have been a better shout.

Penalty for Glory, and Mr Nagai misses!

Had absolutely no expectation of Nagai scoring that penalty. One of the senior players needed to step up for that one.

Galekovic is a penalty saving machine.

Adelaide look as though they can't be bothered. They're a wretched team IMO. Owe their high place on the table to the brilliance of a few key forwards and Galekovic. The rest of them are very, very ordinary.

If they didn't have such a good start to the season, they could be in the running for the wooden spoon. They had such a great start on the back of their match fitness from their ACL campaign.

No wonder why Glory have so few goals this season, when you have misses like that from McGarry
