So even a draw between Perth and Adelaide will be enough for a) Sydney to fall to 7th, b)  Adelaide to remain 4th, all on goal difference. Correct?

a) yes. 
b) no. If Victory were to then lose tomorrow by 2 or more goals, they would go fourth on GD.

no. I'm saying a sending off gives a real advantage. A penalty doesn't (necessarily). As per my original comment CCM would be well farked off if the player wasn't sent and the pen was saved.

Adelaide look as though they can't be bothered. They're a wretched team IMO. Owe their high place on the table to the brilliance of a few key forwards and Galekovic. The rest of them are very, very ordinary.

If they didn't have such a good start to the season, they could be in the running for the wooden spoon. They had such a great start on the back of their match fitness from their ACL campaign.
