Tifo displays happens before the game usually. Ours do, anyway. In Sydney's case, they dneed the big banner to make it look like they have a crowd.

HN Newcastle pinched the 'jump for Melbourne victory' chant from MVFC, so they're used to it.

Also, the 7 Nation Army chant was (I believe) pinched at the Australia vs Italy game in Germany, as all the Italians were doing it that day.

After the Aussies' loss there, we were at a nightclub on the Greek Islands and the Europeans were doing it there as well, so that's my basis as to where MVFC got the 7NA chant from.

Things MVFC invented-

1) Jumping.

2) Chanting.

3) Combining the two.

You're welcome.

It's too late now, as Deaf Awareness week was in September but I thought it would be kind of cool if, in recognition of the deaf, we had a silent celebration. Where we are going nuts but and all, just making no noise. Might kill off the atmosphere a bit, and might well be a dreadful suggestion but just an idea.

Newcastle started the 'jump for newcastle' thing soon after MVFC started it, about season 2 from memory. MVFC do the 'jump for melbourne victory ole ole jump for melbourne...'

It was direct rip-off of the MVFC chant did the Newcastle Squadron do.

Are you suggesting a Robbie Williams/Kylie Minogue style duet, News?
