Great goal from the Roar. 1-1
Good to see all these young blokes getting a run. A couple of the Roar guys are playing their first A league game.
Why have we not got any young blokes comming through.

I was not. You can't tell me that we don't have young promising players in NZ.

There are but them getting a chance isn't as simple as saying it will happen. Remember all these GCU youngsters have been playing together for three years in the youth league. Where would our youngsters play?
How does Cameron Lindsay get a chance to prove himself?
Potentially there are better young kiwi's than Pav and Tsatallios (and Ward) but just syaing we should sign them doesn't resolve the fact that without game time they won't improve and they won't develop to be A-League players.
How does Cameron Lindsay get a chance to prove himself?

For the good of NZF, we're almost better off not signing them.
"Sign a young NZ keeper to replace warner"
Why? So he can rot on the bench for a year?
Allegedly

HN, I do understand, but it really bugs me when I see all these good young players here, knowing that we also have good talent in NZ- and always have.

Pav has played 20 times, and that's without ever looking like making it as a first choice player. If that had been a kiwi lad instead he would have got at least as many games and if he had impressed he might have broken through. I understand the argument that there's no point in having a player like Lindsay at the nix when he never gets a chance to play, or a 2nd choice keeper who's a kiwi, but in the case of Pav we have a youth player who has got game time and hasn't impressed but has still got a longish contract, which begs the question of why he has been given those chances when surely there are kiwi lads who could have done equally well (or better). As I see it if there's kiwi and aussie players of equal quality then we pick the kiwi. If Pav looked the goods I don't think many fans would have had a problem with a youth signing being an aussie
