also it looks as though the team line up given in the buildup was wrong and kosta is up top and henrique is left midfield (which isn't really surprising, sometimes you have to wonder what some of the broadcasters actually know about formations esp. after the shambles of the all whites at the world cup)

I actually thought the quality (from Brisbane mainly) was as good or better than anything we've seen this weekend.

Brisbane have looked good yes. Gold Coast are putting me to sleep. Porter has looked alright. Henrique, Broich and Kosta are looking good.

It was Kosta versus Mossy for the most part. Good to see him playing so confidently, considering his lack of game time in previous seasons. GC were hardly in that. Brissy should be disappointed not have taken that. Great passing, but some poor options taken in the box.

Was very pleasantly surprised by the Kitties. Played some nice football. Really enjoyed watching Kosta,had a very strong game, hope he kicks on from here.

Interesting that you should say that (and I agree), but I though Mitch Langerak was an exponent of exactly the same thing at Melbourne but it didn't stop commentators ending up with sticky pants.
Getting back to the GCU v Bris match, I couldn't help notice how everything NZ was now cool as far as commentators were concerned. Used to be that anything NZ was treated with contempt.
Maybe slight exaggeration, but there certainly has been a shift in attitude.

Not sure what you expect. Some years ago we were crap and deserved the comments of the commentators. Things have changed, we are better and they are calling it as they see it
