Free for all fans vs CCM on December 19.

If they can't crack 10k from that, well, yeah. simon_hampton2010-12-19 18:14:04

Dont act like the offer of free tickets wouldn't significantly increase our attendance by the same either.

Allegedly

I wasn't, I'm sure we'd give away just as much if not more.It just sucks that they can't come along and actually pay to see them play, it takes free tickets to get them along and they wonder why the f@#k they only got one vote to hold the world cup in their country

If you are right, how come they got over 20000 for the Melbourne game?

I'm not disputing the figures, just the fact that you mentioned that Oz only got one vote for the WC.
Every time the Socceroos play they get big crowds. The G.Coast seems to be a different story from the rest of the country.
They will get more than 10000 on Sunday.

If you think WC votes are tied to crowds for GCU then you're dreaming.

of course  I don't think it was the reason behind it how stupid is that but it does show apathy towards football in Australia

Rumours of 15000 tickets picked up, will be the biggest crowd there so far for sure, picked GCU on that basis

I actually remember reading something at the start of the season about GCU ticket prices are the highest in the league. I remember looking at the prices and thinking what a rip off.

Could be a massive hint to Clive.

Anyone know the prices? Or is my memory making up stories?

Seriously, how much more water can that pitch take? You'd have to think that conditions are going to be unplayable soon.

I'm going to try find out what it is this week but I don't think it's a drainage issue. Seams to me like the grass has a disease of some sort and is just dying out, exposing the soil. Wet/warm weather is perfect conditions for the spread of disease in turf. That's just a complete guess though.

Fuck this stupid game

Ah right, sounds about right I thought the grass looked quite dead last week when I was at skilled park, I just don't understand how the field isn't in this type of condition for the NRL season.
