What happened to Arnolds promise of CCM playing a more open, flowing and exciting brand of football this season?? That looked like same old CCM to me, get ahead and then defend like f**k

I agree, but we all know that 3 points are better than none, even if you did not deserve to win.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Of course you could play better...

Terrible opener.  So many fails.  Especially Worm, outplayed himself numerous times.  Good to see Wee Mac get a full game.  Wasn't bad but wasn't great.

I didn't see anything that suggested either of these two will be lifting the toilet seat. Skoko had some nice touches but also looked slow (may have been due to the knock he got on half time). I suspect Heart have geriatrics on one hand (Skoko, Aloisi, the 35 year old dutch guy) and inexperience on the other hand with not a lot in between. It also looked uncoordinated, with players getting frustrated with each other. Perhaps that will improve over time.

CCM on the other hand won't score many with Kwasnik up front.

Just got home from the game at AAMI. God knows how they arrived at the official attendance figure (they must have included security personnel, ball boys, ticket sellers...). My guess would be 7000-8000 tops. Great stadium BTW.

Heart's 9, Gerald Sibon I think,  might as well have been a tree
Glad he isn't our target man

He showed a bit against Everton. Him and Terra could be something once they're used to each other.

That was a terrible game.

I like the stadium except for the lime green

I went down there last night...I didn't see anything from the Heart that won't be fixed through more matches. Can't expect them to come out of the gate at a million miles an hour.

They do look at risk of being quite one-dimensional, though.

Sky sports highlights have the A-League replay package showing 1/2 hour worth of highlights today.
Not sure whether they will change it tomorrow to show Perth-NQ.

As this was Hearts first game I thought they were OK and overall were the better football side. However, you have to take your chances and they did not.CCM, regardless of the crap that a lot of the previous threads have mentioned, will still be a tough team to beat.

I thought Terra looked pretty handy but over all, the Hearts odds should drop pretty drastically.

Have you been on the piss? Of course you can play better, but I would rather play poorly and win than be magic and lose.

Aziz Behich, famous for a miss of epic proportions in the finals last year for the Tards (as opposed to the jam Tards he plays for now).

How's my driving? - Whine here

Went to the game - was f**king freezing. Almost thought I was back in Welly.

Pretty horrible game. Typical CCM stuff, really, score early and then hold on for dear life. Can't let them score first. Kind of funny how they have changed the coach but play exactly the same football.

Some surprisingly good support for the Heart though how many come back is anyones guess. Could hear the cheers from the Victory fans when CCM scored.

Terra looks quite good, I think - probably the only player from the Heart who really put his hand up. Rutger Worm is basically Elrich with a wig.

Behich surprised me when he came on - did quite well. His positioning is all over the place but he is good running at players. I think he'll do better at the Heart because they try to play with width.

The best thing about the night was the stadium - pitch is like a carpet and was great being that close. (was on lvl 1 in the corner)
