SS3, 9.30.

Should be interesting to see how Heart go. They have a few players injured, but still look better on paper to CCM. Would like them to win but Mariners are pretty solid.
predictions?

I'm thinking 1-1

I think Heart will be too good. 3-1

P.S. Fox Sports has half hour buildup (via dodgy web stream).

No Perez so Matt Simon set to play #10 playmaker role and be tasked with shutting Skoko down (sounds like he'll be busy!)

Heart crowds are going to be very very interesting.  Are there enough disenfranchised Melbourne fans willing to leave the lcub they've followed to cross town to a new team who'll probably finish below Melbourne.

It's a massively high risk strategy not to go with a regional identity...there was an article on SMH the other day sayiong they are the first club founded on a philosophy.  That could be too much marketing speak for your average football fan

I thought only keepers could wear 20? Maybe Bambang can wear his favourite number afterall.

I have read reports that they have based themselves in the north (at LaTrobe University), and were looking to connect more with fans in that part of town.

WeeMac is looking class so far. Pity we couldn't have got him as our playmaker.

Is the Heart actually capable of winning a defensive header?

They might stand a chance against Bambang.

Three for me, and two for them.

When things don't go his way he's a bit spinless.  WItness the clobbering last year where he went off at the half.  He's okay when he's good but very, very fragile mentally.

He looked surprisingly good in the air at training the other day.  Good leap, good 'hang time' - but yes, I get the gag.
