I am very unhappy with the way his time with us ended, but I'm a bit uncomfortable condemning him on the back of this stuff.  But it's pretty nasty stuff, and if even remotely close to true I'm glad he's out of the club

It's fair to say he's not very tech savvy - Seems to think people won't be able to pin SOcial media accounts on him.

Is that really from Rudan? Then it would be fair to say, he is not ready for the job.

So you're saying it's Rudan who posted all that?

There is a very high percentage chance that it is him based on some research, the wording, other tweets.

Around the time of the Awards night, it's mentioned in one of those messages.

... whereas in his farewell Insta, Roy had nothing but positivity about the club. I mean you wouldn't expect him to walk out cursing a blue streak about Dome/Morrison, but Rudan's attempt to poison everything by saying that people are leaving because the club sucks just doesn't hold water.

Yeah, wonder if Talay asked Rudan what he thought of the club?

It appears that:

1, Rudan got summoned home by his wife because (due to past history) he can't keep his pants on.

2, He engineered the messages about his departure with the crap about ambition. The Phoenix squad was once again financially comparable to all but the league's top 3 teams. The Phoenix still has the best youth set-up of any team. The club may run on a smaller backroom staff but to claim a lack of ambition just doesn't add up.

3, Western United staff had long stated their new manager was involved in recruitment before he was announced. He clearly behaved unethically when the Phoenix had done all they could to build him what he needed.

4, Even if the club suspected this was going on with no actual proof they would have had legal implications for terminating a contract with no facts to back it up and at the same time can you imagine if they sacked him when we were top 4 and challenging on a rumour - no matter how strong?

5, The club worked fast to sign a replacement. They also negotiated hard with all the players that have left but at the same time were realistic about what they could justify paying them.

6, You think you like angst now wait until you catch the next departure.

7, Rudan has been using social media - fake accounts and misrepresentation - to try and defend his actions. Good luck to Western United if some journalist actually goes all in on him.

8, After pulling an (estimated and conservatively so) 3 million dollars out of this club in salary we're meant to feel sorry for Dura because the testimonial whose grandiose plans were driven by people outside the club didn't make him another million? Fudge off.

This is either a major hatchet job ( if so, shame on you) or if true, Rudan is an absolute cod.

Oddly enough, for all the bollocks that it spouted on this forum, this strikes me as being accurate when you read some of the other commentary from the mods.

I am so innocent apparently.  I haven't picked up a single hint of it from reading any posts here. Thanks Baiter for spelling it out for the terminally naive.

Not sure why it took so long for someone to let rip?

I found the article in question just by using Google (people on forums have C+V the text. Makes for interesting read that's for sure.
I'm still off the Judan bandwagon but if the social media and stalking links were to prove true I'd definitely change my opinion.

The stalking links are true and can be found fairly easily, but you will need to draw a short bow.  This has been confirmed by Australian Football Media otr

Just an aside, 10-15 mins before the game I took a shortcut around the back of the club-rooms and saw Rudan there, by himself (in the dark), looking at his phone. He was there until the game started. He comes across as a bit of a strange unit.

Not much in that.

I was going to make a joke about the stalking of <insert fox sports host name here> but I don't want this site to be sued

The new man in McLaughlin’s life is retired British soccer player Ashley Westwood, 40, who had a career playing for third-tier English football division clubs including Crewe Alexandra and Bradford City until 2012.

He moved on to coaching duties in India and it was while working in that capacity in late 2015 that Westwood met McLaughlin, who was working briefly as a soccer commentator at Star TV and living at the same Mumbai hotel as Westwood and his then pregnant wife Huma.Westwood, who has been unemployed since March when his contract as head coach of Malaysian Super League team Penang was cancelled by mutual consent, has five children by three women.

Retired Sydney FC player Mark Rudan clashed heatedly with Ashley Westwood.

According to friends of the Westwoods, wife Huma, a juvenile probations officer in Northampton, recently filed for divorce.Westwood yesterday denied his relationship with McLaughlin began while his wife was pregnant. “I have been separated from my second wife since early 2016 and we are going through divorce proceedings,” he said.
“I started seeing Mel last year after the breakdown of my marriage. We’re very happy.”Sources say police believe some of the “dozens” of telephone threats made to a Seven mobile in McLaughlin’s possession may have been intended for Westwood.Rattled by a break-in at her apartment earlier this year, McLaughlin has since moved out of her home. She did not wish to comment when contacted yesterday.

Frankie’s pizza outlet on Hunter St was the scene of the altercation. Picture: Bill HearneRudan allegedly shouted crude abuse during the incident.

News of the stalking investigation comes days after an unrelated incident in which the TV host was publicly insulted at a Sydney bar as tempers flared during A-League grand final celebrations last Sunday.Westwood and local soccer commentator and retired Sydney FC player Mark Rudan clashed heatedly outside Frankie’s Pizza Bar on Hunter St in the early hours after the match.Fox Sports commentator Rudan was allegedly assaulted by an unnamed 18-year-old as he and a group arrived at the bar at the same time McLaughlin and her boyfriend were leaving.Witnesses have said the two men started exchanging angry insults — Rudan allegedly shouting crude abuse at McLaughlin — before bouncers stepped in and police arrived, although officers did not take statements. The argument between Westwood and Rudan had begun earlier in the evening at The Clock Hotel in Surry Hills where 41-year-old Rudan had been drinking with Fox Sports colleagues. While McLaughlin, a Fox Sports presenter from 2007 to 2013, remained downstairs, Westwood went upstairs and had an argument with Rudan, angrily demanding he “take a walk outside” with him, which Rudan declined to do.Rudan, who is married to childhood sweetheart Sylvia, with whom he has children, refused to comment about the alterca
