Rumour has it that Grant Brebner had a few dollars on an Andre Rieu Draw/Win!

Another smashing goal. Nick Ward makes it 2-2 with his first touch after coming on

As for that sort of stuff starting flare-ups, don't we watch Melbourne v Sydney for the fights as much as the football?
Handbags at the end of the F3 derby as well, all part of it no? That's what we need if we want a real rivalry haha.

Auckland in the A-League?

Palmerston North

Alex Brosque most under performing striker in the A-League imo.

Not a fan of Aloisi neither but if were to have a look at the bigger picture and what he has done throughout his career than you would say Aloisi has done alot more than Brosque. Brosque started off with a decent first season for the Roar but has done nothing since.

Brosque isn't being paid $1.2M a season...

he practically pitched a tent in the box.

Outcome of independent Match Review Panel
Monday, 29 December 2008
Dylan Macallister and Mark Milligan

The independent Match Review Panel (MRP), chaired by Barry Such, met in Sydney today to consider incidents arising from Round 17 of the Hyundai A-League.

The MRP determined the following:

- A sanction of one (1) match for Dylan Macallister (Central Coast Mariners) for his R6 Red Card for "use of offensive, insulting and abusive language". This is the minimum sanction for this offence under the Hyundai A-League Disciplinary Regulations.

- The MRP accepted it had authority to intervene in the matter between Joel Griffiths (Newcastle Jets) and Jon Hutchinson (Central Coast Mariners) as the incident escaped the attention of the referee. However, after reviewing all footage, the MRP unanimously determined that neither player was guilty of a Red Card offence.

- In relation to the incident between Danny Allsop (Melbourne Victory) and Sydney FC Head Coach, John Kosmina, the MRP accepted the matter did not escape the attention of the referee as it was ruled on by Matthew Breeze at the time it occurred. Accordingly, the MRP has no authority to intervene.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today issued notices to Newcastle Jets and Central Coast Mariners alleging Team Misconduct arising out of the conduct of its players after their match last Friday night.

Under the Hyundai A-League Disciplinary Regulations, FFA can sanction a Club for Team Misconduct when its players engage in a melee. Each club has until the end of Friday 2 January 2009 to respond. Sanctions can include a reprimand, a fine or a deduction of points or a combination thereof.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ooooh, the big bad FFA is making some serious threats again!!! I'm a little scared!

To the Tune of "One Night in Bangkok" by Murray Head

One night in Melbourne
and the Sydney crumbled
They scored two goals
and then the Tards scored three

Danny Allsopp shoulder charged Kosmina
Now he'll have to face Judiciary
He plays for the Victory
So he will walk Scott Free!
