MELBOURNE Victory coach Ernie Merrick was today axed by the club.

The club confirmed the announcement at a press conference today and insisted they had not sacked him but it was a 'mutual parting of the ways'.

Another link for this. So what would Marco learn from Muscat if he gets the job? How to have a wank attitude?? Sorry Marco, but I think you made the wrong move at the wrong time.

Muscat has no chance.

No idea, but I assume we'll go about finding a new manager the same way we went about finding a new marquee striker - Youtube highlights.

If Ricki did go to the Tards, imagine how gutted Marco will be.

Assuming he left to get away from Ricki.

For all we know he left knowing Ricki may end up there.

Allegedly

Nah, we all know he moved to Melbourne for the very compelling reason that "the facilities are a bit better", so surely he wouldn't care

How to win things?

If he was trying to avoid Ricki he'd probably have avoided the AWs call-up...

Now hold on, I didn't see his interview with Gourdie, but I gathered that he was still hemming and hawing about whether he wanted to be with the AWs.

Marco said he had chosen to play for NZ in the interview. No suggestion by him of anything else.

Gourdie was just highlighting the fact that he could still be lost to NZ later because these two games are only friendlies.

Gourdie was just trying to make it sound more interesting - "why Marco could still be lost to NZ football" - but he might as well have thrown in "why Marco could be the first man on Mars" and "why Marco could retire from football and become a monk". All possible outcomes but not very likely!

I should bloody well hope that Marco does retire and become a monk, to get the stain of playing for MVFC off his soul.

A life of abstinence would also put an end to bed sheet stains - double win

Marco "theyve got great facilities" Rojas.

Heard him on the radio yesterday, he may be young  but that was an uninspiring performance and explanation of why the Victory was the place to be.

I reckon they would go for Ricki. That would be a turn up for the books if he got the job.
