Already rumoured in Marco thread but well worth enjoying in its own right...http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/melbourne-victory-coach-mehmet-duracovic-sacked/story-e6frf9if-1226237781753I can't decide which I think would be funnier - Farina or Muscat as coach.Big question of course is whether Marco is seen by the new coach as part of the problem or part of the solution. terminator_x2012-04-27 14:03:35

If they don't want Marco, would we welcome him back with open arms?patrick4782012-01-06 12:47:08

Victory has now secured fewer points than at the corresponding stage of its six previous campaigns, has its equal lowest tally of wins and its equal highest tally of losses. It has just half the number of points of ladder leader Central Coast Mariners and is a humiliating nine points behind local rival Heart. If the beleaguered club needed any further problems, there are also reports of fresh discontent among players over the perceived special treatment of Harry Kewell.

It gets better and better. I would have preferred Durakovic to stay, but seeing the club implode like this is still hilarious.

If Marco was to fall out of favour, it would be so great to get him back, but nothing like that is going to happen immediately.

Melbourne could well be a big player in the league now if they go on a new coach rebound streak, though, I can't see Muscat being the answer!

So Muscat takes over. And next Friday, Victory host Adelaide. Muscat v Kosmina on Friday 13th. Good lord.

They'll be gutted they didn't get rid of him a couple of months ago when he was apparently nearly going to go.

Sounds like they maybe just haven't agreed a deal with Muscat yet, seeing as he said they wanted to announce the interim coach today but couldn't.

They had talks with Frank Farina earlier in the season, could be him.

I would without a second thought so long as he actually welcomed it rather than Victory just wanting him gone. Third hand information but his girlfriend is apparently returning to NZ to study.

Don't think so. Has got qualifications in GBH and being a complete f**kwit tho!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Farina to form an all new 'old boys club' with Kewell, Thompson, Allsopp...?

hmm...surely this is a major comment on Muscat too as basically he seemed to be doing a lot and has been pointed out can't hold the coaching role cos he doesn't have the quals?

1 coach sacked before the season started, 2 during the season, Ferguson on the knife edge at Perth, and sounds like Lavicka might not extend his Sydney stay at the end of the season. For a league without relegation, that's a high turn over of coaches this season.

Please let Branko Culina be appointed as new manager of the Victory. Would love to see a midfield with Hernandez, Kewell, Jason Culina!!!
