If it was mutual, then alright.

But if not, then it seems rather mean; he hasn't done much wrong ...

Interesting. My eyes told me that most Newcastle fans think he's taken far too long to get to the A-League, and will offer very little as his best years are well and truly behind him. He's only coming back to Oz as his gig is finally up and nobody else out there wants him.

Perhaps you should read it again.
He is coming back cause he thinks he has a chance for Brazil.

The Newcastle Jets have parted ways with three members of the 2013/14 Hyundai A-League Coaching Staff.

Assistant Coach Craig Deans, Goalkeeper Coach Bob Catlin and Strength and Conditioning Coach Karl Dodd leave the Club with immediate effect.

"We thank Craig, Bob and Karl for their commitment and hard work during their time with the Club, all have played an important role in the development of our team and players and we wish them all the best for their future careers," Newcastle Jets CEO Robbie Middleby said.

The Coaching Staff for the 2014/15 season will be announced in due course. No further comment will be made at this time.

My sauces have all but confirmed Arnie is a done deal. Will be formally announced over weekend or monday at latest.

Herbert for Jets?

Guess Arnie is off to Sydney then.. which may rule him out of the AW job

Permalink Permalink

You would suspect that may be the case. Sydney have a bit more cash and who wants Tinklers' shit?

Wonder if the AW gig was a sticker.

Was wondering the same thing. Failed Socceroo/J League coach and loudmouthed Aussie he may be but personally I think he is just the sort of coach the AWs need. Looks unlikely now though.

Jets were fine with it. Guess Sydney is higher profile and a few extra 0's.

ENGLISH manager Lee Clark has emerged as a possible option to coach Newcastle Jets next season.

It is believed Jets officials will interview a candidate, believed to be Clark, in the next few weeks.

The move comes just days after the Jets announced they had ceased negotiations with former Central Coast boss Graham Arnold.

Clark has had a relatively short career as a manager, guiding Huddersfield Town from 2008 to 2012 before joining Birmingham.

The club, however, is in danger of being relegated to the third tier with speculation he won’t hold on to his job.

NRL takes control of Knights from Hunter Sports Group

Worrying...

The Knights were hemorrhaging money by the sounds of it, whilst the Jets are much more viable. We have all our player wages paid by the TV deal, I dont think the NRL comes close to theirs.

That's good to hear. The last thing the A League needs is another club going bust

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.

The Jets will always survive in some form even if they go bust. They just have too many supporters to ever not exist entirely.
