Rufer's getting a start supposedly in our (Sydney) game against Parra at Parramatta Stadium tonight.

...but apparently the league has moved WAY past the Phoenix.  He couldn't even make the U20 squad.

One post from a sfcu forum member at the game has described him as being "diabolical".

It's quite distressing.

We'd all love him to become half the player his father was but it looks more and more like it's just not there.  Kind of disappointing really.

What was the view on him for the ressies last year?

Normo's coming home

In the games I watched he never particularly stood out.

Big (tall), but not quite quick enough to make a real impact is my recollection.

The guys I know that regularly get to training on Mondays really rate him & I trust their opinion. I went along two weeks ago & got introduced (against my will I might add) by them & he seemed more than happy to chat.
He could get game time tonight when we play O-LYM-PIC at Belmore this evening (21:30 NZT).

Emmo will put on his new SFC shirt in front of his old club.

& it were a cracker of a goal too. What's more they had a goal seen by everyone BUT the officials, clearly crossed the line.

They have a truck load of sponsors there. Plenty of woodwork hit, mainly by SFC

We lose again, this time to the Jets, 1-0. Nicky Carle missed a penalty.

That is all.

Oh & this is the bloke that scored for the Jets in the 43'.

At the start they said he and Hernadez would be second half subs and I think Kewell only played 45.

Traitor.  Virgil Tracey is playing for Nooocassel?

Nice sponsorchip for Newcastle

Klosters will sponsor the Jets and Knights for the next three years by providing vehicles for players, coaches and officials. Hyundai is the naming-rights sponsor of the A-League, and Jets officials will drive only that brand. The Knights are free to use a variety of makes.

wonder how strong the mariners side was? They've been unbeaten up until now in preseason.

We will probably get a release about it from Graham Arnold saying how he cant believe why some of those players aren't in the Nix side, and then let the knitting circle begin
