I thought he was definitely going to get the ball back. Yes there was a defender there but I don't think he was going to reach the ball first - the defender might have blocked the shot or made a tackle but defenders get sent off if they make a challenge like that with only a keeper to beat so it stands to reason that even if there's a defender there and a keeper makes that challenge the keeper should go
