Rest of A-League Transfer (Now with 99% RR - Love your work)
Forgot that there were no inter A League transfer fees, so obvious barriers to any rumoured move back to Piscopo's home town.
He maybe happy as a lamb in Wellington, and then he may not (esp off field).
He's of Italian parentage, went to Italy as a 13 yr old, was on the book's of Inter, no doubt speaks Italian fluently. Big part of his DNA. Who knows he may have had his parents with him the whole time in Italia, to curb any home sickness. Highly likely had some family over there. So living overseas in NZ, ain't really a good comparison.
Melbourne has a very large Italian community/culture. Wander around Carlton, Brunswick it's everywhere to see.
Wellington doesn't. There is only so many times you can go to "La Bella Italia". Throw in the winter weather, and who knows he may just be pining for a return home to Melbs, no matter how good is the onfield football experience at Newton.
Victory are the A League's biggest club. They won't stay sharkhouse for long. Nix have shown the last 2 seasons, that by getting in the right coach, and making some smart signings you can very quickly turn things around.
Again hopefully young Reno is content in the Windy City, but if not he wouldn't be the first or last Nix young Aussie to decide it's not really for them.
Reno has been in Melbourne during the virus halt to the comp. So not surprising if someone at Vic has been in his ear. Same with Devere who has been Brisbane all this time. Would like to see Luke get a contract extension with us, before to long.

nah he went to Italy as a kid by himself - I remember him saying as much when Piney interviewed him after his signing was announced. There is a big Italian community in Wellington, a lot of them in Island Bay and Newtown. Maybe not as big as Melbourne but sizeable. Sure someone from Melb might be in his ear but I'd expect Dome to make it worth our while if Reno was that desperate to leave - not that I think he is or would be.
Large grain of salt with that one, I'd be surprised if we let go a player that we paid for. Destroys our business model and belittles what we're trying to do.
Of course, although there's no official transfer fees, there are other under the table sort of things going on. Swap him for Rojas?
Probably worth noting here that the salary cap could be reduced by as much as 50 per cent next season.
that's a bit of a worry, wonder how that's going to affect players whose contracts go past next season?

While its not as large as Melbournes Italian community there is one in Wellington and think its larger than you seem to be aware of. Also "La Bella Italia" is by no way the only Italian restaurant in Wellington and for me its certainly not the best.

I can't this this enough. For me it doesn't even make the top 5.

This sort of thing is presumably why, instead of grabbing a 50% cut from Fox and running with it, they're still negotiating and we have this delay.

Don't worry, there's always going to be Sydney specific salary cap loopholes.
I'm sure if the quality of Italian restaurants was the major factor in where he played in NZ, he would be playing for Auckland City then the Nix.
Let's not over complicate things too much

Kim & Harold not coming back to finish the season with CCM.
Be interesting to see who managed to keep their teams together. Out of the title challengers Adelaide seems to be completely gutted but both the Roar and Glory stopped paying their players so wouldn't be surprised if they lost a few. Roar's coaching staff is also still in the UK.

The club is also trialling two players in Englishman Joe Guest, who was the NPL Victoria player of the year in 2019, and 26-year-old striker Patrick Antelmi. Antelmi was previously with Blacktown City in Sydney but had spent time with Portsmouth, Leeds, Wolves, Wigan Junior and under-23 squads in England before that.
We're proud to announce that @NPLNSW goalkeeper Tristan Prendergast has signed with the club until the end of the season!

Manager speculation here, someone has put an offer to Traianos Dellas according to this https://www.sportime.gr/podosfairo/world-football/apokalipsi-sportime-ta-skane-gia-della/
It's all Greek to me.
Was a good DF in his days... I remember we had to play him up front a few times when Roma was short of strikers...
The article doesn't mention any interested teams, just that he might have an offer from Australia
