Rumours of CR7 hiding his shame in the A league.

Townsend is dreaming if he thinks CR7's agent will even talk to him, after he tables an offer the ALM can afford.

Ronaldo is not an idiot. He timed the interview with world cup knowing effectively his contract would be terminated.

He will be banking on a good WC campaign where he will be front and center for Portugal to land him a good gig elsewhere.

“Brian deserves all the plaudits he has been given so far and has proved so many people wrong. That’s what I love the most about him and that’s why he already has hero status at the club amongst the fans,” said Mariners coach Nick Montgomery.

Kaltak has played for the Vanuatu national team since 2011, scoring five goals and being made captain. He featured in the FIFA+ documentary series Captains, which followed six national team captains through qualification games for this year’s FIFA World Cup.

“It defies belief that no one took a chance on him before,” said Montgomery.

“He is an inspiration not only for everyone in Vanuatu but also an inspiration to his teammates who know his journey and hold him in the highest regard.”

Ricki had both Krishna and Kaltak on trial and passed, whilst signing some dodgy visas. Hindsight is 20/20 tho.

The year we passed on Kaitak we spent a foreign spot on Alex Smith who was playing in the NSW premier league and Tony Warner who spent most of the season on the bench.

Will Craig Goodwin end up somewhere?

Had a good world cup and has been on fire since his return to the A League. Surprised nothing has happened for him as of yet.

Not sure how much of a desire he has to head overseas again. He is 31, had a couple of stints overseas that didn't really work out for him. At this stage of his career, he is probably happy to be the big fish in the small pond & tbh, the A-League is better for it.

Agree. Good for all parties that he stays, He's one of the few genuine stars we have in the league. Throughout the years when the league has been at it's peak, we've always had a crop of players that have been around a while, probably too good for the league but stick around anyway - Berisha and Broich, Ninko in his pomp, they're probably the best examples but there's been a bunch over the years. I feel like that's what the league lacks currently, and Goodwin is one of the few who we have left. Hope he stays at Adelaide for the rest of his career

Berisha was great for the league's profile. Same in a way Kevin Muscat. Before that John Kosmina as coach. Our own Siggy.

Pantomine villains pull people through the gate. Marko Rudan visiting the ROF, will always mean some publicity in the leadup. The ALM needs more villains.

And then on the other dias, Broich remains my favourite ever player to watch in the league's short history. The KFC kid Carlos Hernandez is up there as well. Hopefully Davila sees out his career downunder (just doesn't score many against the Nix).

Can't say I'm overly impressed by that Roar signings CV. Looks like he did well in the 2nd Tier in Austria 4 years ago & has struggled to make the step up to higher levels.

You'd think a striker would be top priority. Maybe they've still got something in the works there but yeah this is a very underwhelming signing.

Also was frankly amazed to see Cyrus Dehmie has been picked up by a Danish 1st div club. Not sure if Roar made money on the deal but if they did then well done cos that kid doesn't look like he's going to score in a million years.

btw, thanks for all your transfer updates RR.
