Adelaide set to announce a signing today, and Heart to announce a coach. We are falling behind, quick lets re-sign Mulligan ...

Ben Halloran going to Brisbane Roar for 3 years.

Really good signing for them, and it gives a bit of an insight into what Rado is going to do with the Roar. Halloran isn't known for his passing game, likes to run with the ball at his feet.

They missed the pace Kosta gave them this season, Halloran is a massive improvement over Issey.

Brisbane Roar has given midfielder Mitch Nichols permission to train with Danish first division club Randers FC.

Nichols will train with the Randers squad during what is expected to be a five or six day stay with a view to signing a four-year deal, as the club seeks promotion to the Danish Super League.

He had a great season, and would be a big loss for the Roar. He still sucks tho.

Can confirm Perth have signed Scott Jamieson and Michael thwaite
If this is true, Thwaite is a good pick up. Kinda expected him to go to the Roar to replace Adnan if he left. Wonder where they plan on playing Jamieson, since they already have signed Zahra.

I'm sorry, but how the fuck are they fitting this under the cap?

Smeltz, Burns, Mehmet, Vukovic, Miller, Thwaite, Dodd alone you would think take over 1.8mil.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Smeltz is international marquee, and they have the Aussie marquee spot available now that Fraudski went to China. Not sure who would take the Aussie marquee spot now, but it does look like an expensive squad if they did pick up Thwaite also.

Hernandez had talks with Heart before flying back to Costa Rica

Fabio Alves Macedo  ‏@FabioAlves13

@SydneyFC good first day of trial at SydneyFC. staff + players very friendly!
Only a trial it seems, maybe the Sydney FC fans will hold off topping themselves untill they sign him. So much angst on their forums about him lol.

can't be paying the rest of the squad much then huh? $250k each for that seven seems high to me. Smeltz, burns, miller, mehmet maybe = $750k (one as a marquee), Vuko would be on more than $150 surely. Thwaite and Dodd could be the Aussie marquee so they don't count either.

Queenslander 3x a year.

It's a lot of fun reading the comments on the photo the Sydney FC facebook page posted of Fabio in a Sydney training shirt.

OUT:

Mitchell
C.Coyne
Taggart
Neville
Amphlett
Howarth
Sterjovski
Sikora
Andrezinho (Injury replacement for Sikora)

IN:

Ward
Thwaite
Harold
Jamieson
Zahra

PROMOTED:

Makeche
O'Neill

It is possible Heffernan might have left also, he was an injury replacement for Coyne. But that could have been because of the muck up with his Chinese loan.

That puts them on 20 players (21 with Heffernan), with 1 visa spot available. With the chance of being in the ACL next season, wonder if they will look for an AFC player for that final spot, if they have cap space free.

Bolton set to re-sign for the Heart, but look likely to sell Babalj to Red Star Belgrade. And also have (never scored a) GolGol Mebrahtu on trial.

Jets will have a very young squad next season, GCU MK II?

They have 3 visa spots available, and should have plenty of cap space available. They could look at getting some quality imports.

Re-signing Bridges but letting go Brockie does not seem right to me.
Mark Bridge and Dimitri Petratos expected to be west sydneys first signings next week.
Ray Gatt seems to be pretty accurate in the past, Sydney letting Petratos go seems a bit of a surprise.

I'm surprised West Syd havn't made any signings yet. I thought the bulk of the 'good' players have been snapped up already.

They have a few signed, but holding off the on the announcement it sounds. They need to announce the name, colours and home ground stuff first.

I think they are just deciding colours now -we already know the name and I heard a rumour that they would be playing their home games here: http://bit.ly/KZ3lar

shame for the league to lose babalj, quite like watching him as a player.

They needed the money and he had told them he would be leaving to go overseas after his contract finished next season. So they took the cash whilst they could.

Heart only have 14 on the books atm, so they could be tempted. They are threadbare for attacking options.

Rumours on the Sydney boards are that they are looking at this guy:
