As well as Adam Sarota, who I'm sort of surprised managed to get a deal there.

Opens the door further for Barbarouses to get more gametime with the top team?

I would hope so.  With those three and van Dijk gone, the Roar's attacking cupboard is looking decidely bare.

Yeah, it's looking bare. But that transfer was around $1,800,000 for the three of them so they have some cash to splash.

David Williams is up for grabs and would fit with what Ang Postacoglu is seemingly trying to do in Brisbane.

Im not too sure what ange is trying to do for the roar.
But it seems that by selling the boys off. He is trying to f**k himself over.

Hard to turn down that sort of coin considering they were in financial trouble not long ago. He got rid of the old boys club so figured bringing in younger players he can mould into his own team is where he's at.

To be fair I'm not sure he had much of a choice. He's on record as saying how desperate he was to keep van Dijk and Oar. And you can bet hearing Sarota and Zullo have gone too will give him some serious headaches.

Quite why Utrecht wants Sarota and Zullo I don't know. Even at A League level Sarota was woefully out of his depth. Ange tried to turn Zullo into a leftback but he was hopeless there, his only real achievement being to break Brockie's leg.

Don't think Sarota was out of his depth at all. Never shined like Oar but didn't look too uncomfortable to me.

Think that getting Zullo and Sarota is just to help Oar settle in more than anything and that is shown by the fact that Oar got a 5 year deal while they only got 2. 600,000 AUD for those two is pittance and not much of a risk.

Oar got a 5 year deal.

"Oar agreed to a five-year deal with the Eredivisie club while Zullo and Sarota have signed on for three years each."

MacAllister ain't much. Two Argies yeah, they sound exciting. I'll guess one will be a complete flop.

And David Williams wants to stay with Fury. According to 442 he's rejected lots of other clubs to work out a deal with Fury.

Good chance one of them will be a flop. Thats probably why he's buying two, hope one ends up like Flores, the other ends up like... someone rubbish. Doubling his chances.

Yep, especially if Farina ends up as their coach.

Coaching the fury would turn make any good man turn to the drink too..

Fowler as Player/Coach would certainly reinforce the fact that Fowler is the only thing keeping the club up.

I don't care how well credentialled this guy is, Chinese players just don't travel well. Sydney should look at why he only had single seasons in Holland and Austria.

Victory have reportedly turned down an offer from Borissia Dortmund for Langerak. For the kids sake I hope it's to haggle over the cash, as that is a good opportunity for him.
Permalink Permalink

Surely they HAVE to let Langerak go, everyone dreams of signing for a decent European side.

Scott Jamieson snared a trial at a second div German club.

And surely Langerak will be doing his best to be allowed to go to Europe. And then that means Moss can play at Victory.

Doubt Moss will be at Victory next season - was horrible. Tried to defend his performances to Melb supporters but it was impossible because he just got progressively worse. He had his best game against us in the 1-1 draw.

Whats the Victory youth keeper like? Could be that they have to recruit two new keepers then for next season.

North Queensland are relocating to Fremantle. Egan is absolutely stoked, won't shut up about it, keeps wondering if they'll form a partnership with his beloved Dockers
