Good on him for speaking his mind.

Childish, unprofessional would be my description (the Muppet reference).

Are they loosing Fornoroli? Because there's it would be pretty hard for a team to accomodate a front three of Cahill, Fornoroli, and Mclaren.

I thought they closed that loophole after they did the same shark move with Brattan.

that whole signed and loaned thing is such BS. Allows them to cheat the cap right?

J-Mac has come out and rubbished the article but the FFA are closing loopholes as fast as teams are exploiting them.

After the Victory paid a huge fee to loan Rogic without paying much of his wages, the FFA started including loan fees inside the cap & they will look at the players wages from the parent club.

After the City Group brought Caceres and loaned hm to Melbourne, the FFA changed the rules that you cannot do this until either the duration of his original A-League contract is up, or 2 transfer windows have passed.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/football/a-league/ffa-set-to-introduce-anthony-caceres-rule-to-stop-melbourne-city-signing-players-through-its-brother-club-manchester-city/news-story/25f81cec94d6962b204a2d7da9c3b67a

However J-Mac's contract will expire, the Caceres rule doesn't apply, so the City Group could sign him & it will be up to the FFA to determine how much cap space his loan would take up.

A few Sydney forum posters believe that Mitchell Duke will be returning from Japan to play for them next season. He is off contract mid year & seems to be stuck in a bench role for his club atm.

SST linking Jacob Poscoliero to the Glory. Not sure why he would leave being first choice at CCM to competing with Alex Grant & Shane Lowry at the Glory.

Or maybe not, when SST said the same thing last night Ben Kennedy responded with this

No wonder he failed it then!

AVRAAM Papadopoulos makes a long awaited homecoming to Melbourne this weekend, but it’s Brisbane where the Roar defender wants to make his permanent base.

http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/football/a-league/brisbane-roar-signing-avraam-papadopolous-says-hes-happy-at-the-club-and-wants-to-stay/news-story/2e12bd4022b41fcf808f414283944d4f

Not sure if the Roar can afford to spend so much of its cap on 4 senior CBs, they have North, De Vere & Bowles signed up for next season. He has been very good for the Roar, I was rather surprised no one went for him in pre-season as he isn't a visa player. I suggested him for us but not sure I would trade Rossi for him tho.

JETS midfielder Mateo Poljak has lived in Australia for five years. He met and married wife, Katarina, here. His six-month-old daughter, Mia, is an Aussie. Newcastle has become home.

But the 27-year-old Croatian national is faced with the prospect of moving his young family overseas to continue his career.

Poljak applied for Australian citizenship in October. He was listed as a “priority process”. Seven months on, he is still waiting.

Until naturalised, Poljak is classed as a visa player in the A-League. Each club is permitted five visa players. If the status quo remains, it appears unlikely that the veteran of 116 A-League games will be re-signed at the Jets. His chances of picking up a contract elsewhere are limited.

Bring him here. If he performs at All White level he might be fast-tracked under Van Dyke rule?

Shame it only works for minority sports like netball, it worked a treat for Australian and Kiwi football until 1990s.

He was interviewed on SST last week and didn't come off all that confident about being re-signed imo. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Victory chase Papadopoulos as a replacement in order to free up the visa spot tbh.

In the interview Rallis also revealed that Baro was reccomended to the Victory by Ramon.

THOMAS Broich and Jamie Maclaren will say goodbye to Brisbane Roar this week, but veteran goalkeeper Michael Theo has signed a new one-year deal with the three-time A-League champions.

The Roar hope former Greek international defender Avraam Papadopoulos and teenage midfielder Joe Caletti join Theo in re-committing to the club.

Both have been offered new deals, with the Roar confident of retaining both players.

It’s also understood that midfielder Jacob Pepper will sign a new Brisbane contract.

Spanish import Manuel Arana will have clean-out surgery on his ankle on Thursday, with a decision to be made soon after on whether he remains a Roar player next season.

Joining club legend Broich and star striker Maclaren in leaving the club is young attacker Joey Katebian.

Aloisi’s new Roar coaching contract will be finalised this week, with an announcement expected in time for the club’s presentation night on Saturday.

Surprised to see Hamill stay, he has no ambition I guess. He was rated rather highly at Heart and just seems content with being a squaddie at WSW. Could have tried to find himself a starting spot elsewhere in the A-League

The MrWalkerAgent Twitter account also links the Roar with a Spanish striker, currently playing in Asia. Seen a few guesses it might be Xisco who destroyed the Roar for the Thai club they face faced in the ACL

Fellow stoppers Nick Ansell and Alan Baro are out of contract, however, with Ansell likely to depart after five years at the club.

I missed this in the Mahazi story, wonder if CCM will look at Ansell? They need some CBs

I'd rate Rogerson & Singh as better options, especially as they seem to have their heads screwed on right
