Hoole available?

His agent was claiming a lot of overseas interest when he was trying to bump up his contract offer from the Jets. So will be interesting to see if that was real or an agent trying to push up the contract offer.

Despite speculation last month former Jets keeper Ben Kennedy had agreed to terms with the Central Coast, Mariners coach Paul Okon says no deal has been finalised… but he is on the shortlist.
“I actually played with Ben in year two of the A-League. Outstanding keeper, but there are other keepers we’re strongly looking at.”
Andrew Hoole is also on Okon’s radar after being released by Newcastle.
“If he’s available and wants to play next season in the A-League we’d certainly be interested.”

Brisbane Roar Football Club can confirm it has released four players following the conclusion of the 2016/17 season.

Manuel Arana, Cameron Crestani, Joey Katebian and Nathan Konstandopoulos will not be part of the Brisbane Roar squad for the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 season.

Last night striker Jamie Maclaren informed the Club that he will leave Brisbane at the end of his contract after making 61 appearances and scoring 43 goals in Orange over the previous two seasons in all competitions.

Adelaide United can confirm the departure of five players from its 2016/17 squad.

Dylan McGowan, Sergio Cirio, George Mells, John Hall, and Jesse Makarounas have all left the Club following the conclusion of their contracts.

Contract negotiations with Club Captain, Eugene Galekovic, Marcelo Carrusca, and Iacopo La Rocca are on-going with their futures at the Club still to be agreed upon by all parties.

The futures of Kim Jae-sung, Marc Marino, Mark Ochieng, and Eli Babalj are also yet to be agreed upon, with the Club looking to appoint a Head Coach prior to making a determination.

Jordan Elsey will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness after recovering from his second ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL).

Not strictly A-League but given he was linked to the Jets job maybe there was some truth to it.

KEWELL RUNNING THE SHOW?

Former Premier League star Harry Kewell is set to become the new boss at Crawley Town.

According to reports, the former Liverpool and Leeds player will replace the outgoing Dermot Drummy.

Crawley finished 19th in League Two this season, winning just one of their last 14 games.

As mentioned by Midfielder, CCM have signed Tom Hiariej. With the A-League shifting to 4 visas + 1 AFC spot after next season, I wonder if they will ask him to renounce his Dutch citizenship and get an Indonesian passport (Indonesia doesn't allow dual citizenship, Van Dijk had to this previously). That way he would count towards their +1.
