There is that & also cuz he was at the Roar but turned down a deal & waited until he was 18, in order to sign for Palace.

And if I remember correctly he hit the crossbar in the last few seconds with a header that could have won our first game 3-2 V Melbourne Victory. A crowd of around 14k at the game or thereabouts.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Bit of confusion here, first Football Fever (formally known as Soccer Stoppage Time) initially tweeted Anderlecht but now has changed it to Aberdeen.

This would be an excellent turn of events for us. We need a reliable striker, he’d definitely add the zip we’ve been missing this season.

I thought he was a striker but seems to be listed as a winger? Either way, we need one of them 😂

Juan Mata has been offered a 1 year extension at WSW, also apparently interest from other A-League clubs as well.

Will be interesting to see if he re-signs, all the talk earlier in the season was that he was unhappy with his lack of playing time

Elsewhere, Socceroos midfielder Anthony Caceres is yet to sign a new deal with Sydney FC.

It’s understood that 32-year-old Caceres has rejected an initial offer from the Sky Blues, with negotiations continuing.

Caceres would likely have to accept a pay cut to stay at Sydney FC.

Macarthur FC is interested in signing Caceres, with the Bulls keen to strengthen their squad ahead of a 2025-26 campaign that will include participation in the AFC Champions League Two competition after winning last year’s Australia Cup.

It’s understood that English winger Joe Lolley is also no certainty to remain at Sydney FC next season despite having a year to run on his lucrative deal.

Cellar dwellers Perth Glory have expressed an interest in Lolley, while the Wanderers could also be interested in the former Nottingham Forest star as they seek to fill the void left by the departure of Milanovic.

In other potential transfer news, veteran striker Bruno Fornaroli is set to depart Melbourne Victory at the end of the season.

Among the clubs interested in the 37-year-old marksman’s services are the Newcastle Jets, while Central Coast coach Mark Jackson is also keen to secure Fornaroli but currently can’t make an offer because Mariners owner Mike Charlesworth is yet to commit to signing players for next season.

The Sky Blues will announce later this week that it has released midfielder Max Burgess and young attacker Jaiden Kucharski, while it is working on re-signing Socceroos Anthony Caceres and Alex Grant. Top scorer Adrian Segecic is expected to depart for an opportunity in Europe.

Burgess a possible return to the Nix?

Knows the club, and I think knows Italiano, when they were both around Sydney FC youth teams.

I honestly expected him to thrive under Uffie but he was pushed aside. Was rumors CCM were interested but they are in a hiring freeze ATM.

Assuming we pick up Chico, I dunno if he would start?

Chico isnt happening so its going to be a new 10. Gilly said on podcast to bigger risk with the injury sounds like it might be worse than thought.

I'd much rather have Kucharski.
Was in love with Burgess at the Nix but the way he left and how he really failed to make the next step makes me not want him back at all.
