CCM hosting the Victory in Geelong.

Victory are missing their Olyroos, so have had to re-jig their backline but still should be too good for CCM you would think. Going for the Victory 2-1

Wonder how much this will boost CCM home crowd numbers having it as an away home game.

That rejigged defence didn't cope with that corner.

Bingham makes it 2-0!

What? Why is the game in Geelong?

Permalink Permalink

Fudge, give them O'Donovan back.

I feel like I must be dreaming cause surely this isn't happening?

Victory bought the game off CCM, so they could meet their contract to host a game in Geelong & have 13 home games in Melbourne still.

Wow.

Anyway Mitch Austin has been one of the finds of the season.

Surprising to think he was kicking around League Two, struggling to get much game time. He is still quite raw but you can't teach pace & that is something he has in spades.

14268 crowd will help CCM #Metrics with it being their home game. Less than I was expecting though.

How did the victory miss that

Victory deserved it. Great header.

Could see that coming

3 assists for Kosta.

Mariners just stopped playing in he last ten. They kicked the ball back to Victory and let them run at them.

Friday night game out in Geelong, hard for the Victory fans to make the trip out after work. And don't think the game was included in their membership

He looks so much better when he has Georgievski behind him.

Apparently it was free for them (according to what I read on Reddit).

Sydney leading 1-0 at HT courtesy of a Holosko goal.

Great finish from Fornaroli.

Bad mistake from Sorenson. Going to be a good week for me in fantasy football. Think everyone was surprised how early Nichols shot.

We really want Mikey to be for us what Mooy and Vidosic are.

Wow this is entertaining

I don't think we play Mikey in the right position, and he doesn't have the players around him to suit his style

Weemac has his limitations. He is one footed and not very clinical in front of goal. At his best, he was one of the top players in the league but I don't think he could play like Mooy has been. Bonevacia at his best is a more similar player to Mooy.

Sorenson just kept City in it there.

I was just about to right something about the quality and as if to emphasise the point there was a goal and then a finger point save and as I write THIS a one-on-one!

He is not that one footed, regularly crosses in with his left (possibly even an assist or two with his left this season) - and before the start of this round has the second most chances created in the HAL

Fantastic from Novillo. Most improved player of the season.

Another very good game, but once again will come down to a bit of controversy with the Ref and stopping WSW after it looked like he blew the whistle to play

City deserved the win. Going to be a great race for the Premiership.

Game of 2 halves, could have gone either way

Watching these 2 teams play makes me realize how far behind the Phoenix are

Permalink Permalink

Yep, people are happy to sign Williams to start and be one of our main players, but here he's a few minutes off the bench.

To be fair- how far behind were WSW last year though?
