Hope tards lose, even if that means we don't make finals.

aaaand Zadkovich almost scores one of the greatest of the season, matched only by one of the greatest saves.

Apparently Griffiths is doing an anger management course. Should probably ask for his money back.

Taggart on target, great goal from a great player.

That's just pathetic defending.

N/Castle are the most underrated side in the league even if they have just conceded.

Scum draw level from nothing.

Halftime 2-1 to Jest

This result does not help us as Sydney will drop out of the top 6 and will really want the points tomorrow.

Plus it means we are mathematically out of the playoffs.

Agree. IMO they fully deserve to be in the finals. Haven't always been that flash but surprisingly consistent compared to the likes of us, MV and Sydney. I've built up quite a healthy respect for them.

Good to see Taggert find his feet too. From a donkey to the most lethal striker in the league.

Clearly Andy Harper hasn't got to grips with this.

I've mentally tuned him out, what did he say?

At MV's expense. I don't mind Harper but really.

That Thompson effort was worse than this:

A hell of a lot. It means our playoff chances are still alive.
They would be completely over if Jets had held on to a win.

But it also means Jets have to lose next week.

Nix have to win last 2.

Sydney have to then lose in the final round (after losing to us tomorrow)

Look at the table and you would see that even if the Jets had won we could still have made the finals-- depending on other results.

Watching the Roar and WSW confirms to me that they are the best teams in the league.

I take it the NRMAIWSW v Brs game isn't live in NZ?

If they won they would be on 35 points. With 2 games left, we can only get from 28 points to 34 points. Therefore we would be out.

New 'talent' in the A League refereeing pool. Jesus wept.

1-1 Both penalties of dubious merit.

FT 3-1 to Glory. Their third goal correctly flagged for offside but inexplicably the ref overruled the lino to allow it.

Permalink Permalink

Takes a really special ref to overrule the lino on that one...

Apparently it was the correct interpretation of the laws, despite being really harsh on CCM. Anderson gets penalised because he was playing to the whistle, its rather ridiculous.

Is there a video clip about of this?

I don't care who said that, I disagree. To the letter of the law, he was in an offside position AND gained an advantage from being in that position.
If that is the interpretation that the referees have been given, then they need to change their interpretation.
