Come on guys... a 13 year old doesn't pass as a 16 year old, no matter how much make-up. Crazy.

My son is 1st year of intermediate I collected him after the school disco a month ago....some of the year 8 girls were bigger than me and done up like they were off into town......they could pass alright!

All I can say is I am glad I don't have a daughter....

Football Mum,

Pretty sexist comments.. so is it better to have boys??..

Its not the first time I have heard those comments..from female teachers recently..

My girls are awesome, do anything, witty and as humbling as..

And you don't worry about them? About how they present themselves, and how they may be perceived? I think that's what FM's point was.

I definitely see where FM's coming from. With the state society is nowadays I'd worry more if I had a daughter. I'm not saying I wouldn't worry about a son if I had one, but you know what I mean.

I'd worry about having a son, cos then you have to worry about him hooking up with a chick who looks like she's 17 but she's actually 7

I talked to my 17 yr old son about this. He reckons boys (young men) his age have 2 problems.

1: Younger girls drinking and trying to get an older guy. He reckons they are pests and says many of his mates while also pissed have hooked up with younger girls 14/15 yr olds who try to hang around with them. He also reckons the girls his own age also try to get rid of these younger hanger ons.

2: 30+ woman (cougars) trying to hook up with them. They are more likely to sleep with the older woman as they are much less trouble according to him.

Which of these is more wrong.

In Melbourne young men have a far greater chance of being stabbed/kicked to death than they do of being seduced by jailbait, so that remains my number one concern for wee Party Pie...

P.S I am a mum not a teacher ....and yes I worry about my boys too but I am glad I don't have the worry of girls....When my son was 8 nearly 9 he was off school with chickenpox the younger one was bringing him notes from girls at school who liked him telling him he was hot, they missed him and couldn't wait for him to get back to school, they wanted to kiss him etc....this is 8 year olds!! Saw one of their Bebo pages the other day .....she is now 11 and Oh God I AM VERY GLAD I DO NOT HAVE GIRLS!

I wonder if her parents know whats on there!
