Suspect a lot more might be heard about this. Coaches at this level don't react like that especially two at the same time. What caused it?

Didn't watch the game, but in the highlights I found on YouTube, there was a very brief clip, immediately after Sydney's equaliser, of a Sydney player (possibly Carney) appearing to give K Muscat a shove on the sidelines. It may have been a 'get back in your technical area' kind of thing. It's not in the highlights on the A-League video site, and I'd have to go have another look at YouTube to be sure of what I saw. Not that this would in any way excuse what the Victory asst coaches did.

Just been listening to someone asking why security/police didn't act over, his words ' the pitch invasion'.

Be interesting to see how the issue will be dealt with.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Grand Final in Newcastle the week I am back home to see the family, all of which are Season Ticket holders...

I feel ill

Cancel your flights CD. Family isnt that important!

Or stay true to your Jets hate and go and see the game wearing a Victory jersey.

On second thought, maybe just wear the CCM jersey. People will be nice and say how sorry they are for you.

Id be tempted to run out from the away bay in the nude with FTFFA written on my chest and pictures of Mark Bosnich and Andy Harper on my arse cheeks. For the right price of course...

What a horrible fudgeing week. Cant go on social media because every fudgeer in Newcastle is posting about the match.

Cant watch local news or ready local media. Can barely chat with my own father without hearing about the fudgeing Jest.

Really hope the Jets win tonight but I wouldn't be surprised if Kosta picks up the Joe Marston medal, he has carried the Victory during the finals.

Replay shows 3-4 Victory players clearly offside at the free kick from which the goal was scored.

Some really nice skills on display tonight. Not one of your usual dull but worthy finals.

Going to be some very tired bodies 2nd half if this pace keeps up.

Did the way VAR was being used change during the season? So many times VAR should have changed the on field decision in the 2nd half of this season and hasn't. What's the point if you don't use it.

Jets not good enough to score, Victory not better. Stream stops at 86min...

R O'D with probably the craziest challenge on a 'keeper and rightfully a red - he was in a red mist ever since Berisha opened up his cheek with an elbow (which I think should have been more harshly punished - no different from Cristiano almost a decade ago)

Overall, a pretty poor final. First half was good, 2nd half was very poor.

Worst I've seen since Smeltz smashed Neil Young years ago. Thomas is incredibly lucky not to be in hospital.

I seem to remember they did raise the threshold part-way through after some very controversial overturned calls early in the season.

I was hoping the Jets would win.

Didnt really care who won.But as a fan how cool would that  be to go to someone elses ground and win a title.

Piss poor crowds, constant FFA bullshark, a moronic football media, incompetent VAR, generally average football and, yes, a failed Nix have made this season an utter dud for me. The Jets under Ernie were about the only bright spot but in the end even they got swamped by the systemic failure of this poorly run league.

Thank god the FFA brought in VAR to clear up mistakes that could ruin a big game. Oh ... ffs

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Also a fairly meaningless final when we all know Sydney FC are clearly the best team in the league.

Three for me, and two for them.

You could say that about any Cup final. The best team does not always win it.

I can only think that the lino and VAR saw there were so many offside that there must be a Jets player in amongst them.

Correct, but it's a shark way to decide a league winner. No sane person will argue that Melb Victory were the best team in the league in 2018.

Three for me, and two for them.
