Sydney hosting CCM tonight, this could get rather ugly. ALF will get plenty of chances to extend his lead at the top of the Golden Boot standings.

Weemac dropped to bench. No surprise; he was completely MIA last trot.

Mariners looking decent in the first 10, have been in charge.

Stupid, stupid attempted tackle by Cisse gets him his second yellow card. Mariners down to 10 men for next 65 minutes.

Heroic to make it to halftime- Mulvey needing rabbit to pull out of hats

Brosque evens it up!

Quality finish by Brosque.

Ugh, then Sydney go ahead with a contentious penalty.

Gutted that the sharkhead Le Fondre got his record.

Nice sign of respect by the Sydney fans giving Simon a warm applause when he went off.

(and Sydney go ahead 3-1)

Matt Millar, most recently at South Melbourne, doing really well the last few weeks.

Good to see CCM get one back making it 4-2, Ref a bit on SFC side with close calls.

I think I may be dreaming. I've just watched Matt Simon and Alex Brosque getting interviewed and they both came across as quite modest decent guys. Cods on the pitch and different off it. It must have been something I've eaten.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I couldn't bare to watch the Brosque interview so flicked channel. I've never minded Simon, good hardworking passionate type. Did well with some of those awkward questions about the state of their side.

To the supporters of the other 9 A League sides, Ben Sigmund would have been a cod extraordinarie.

He has been good all season, he has been the only player that even looks like they should be playing in the A-League for CCM.

Yeh- I'm with you-I like Simon. Sure Brosque can play, but yuh.

Gotta question Mulvey's tactics when they went down to 10 men. Okay he didn't have a CB on the bench but by keeping both Murray and Simon up front, they got totally overrun in the midfield which in turn left the two front men totally isolated. It was like they were playing with 9 men because Murray offered nothing, at least Simon can hold the ball up from long balls.

On a plus side, both Cisse and O'Neill (5 yellows) miss the trip to Wellington on the 12th.

Must say it was a bloody gutsy performance from CCM, considering how dumb Cisse's dismissal was.

After eight straight losses it’s OK to question his tactics. I wonder what he think about his work, is he really thinking he is worth his money?

I read someone say CCM have gone 1-0 up in 5 matches this season? Pretty poor to only have 2 points from that.

WSW should be ahead, dominating Victory first 10 minutes, missed several good chances.

Your classic hero to zero moment. More than a few brain snaps amid the wonder saves from the old fella these days.

city win this and a clear top 4 emerges, with us and adelaide at 5th/6th then a gap of 4 to jest

Season not yet halfway through, I don't think the top 4 or top 6 will remain the same, it will change still. A 4 or 6 point gap is bugger all at this stage.
