Season 14: Week 15

We haven't finished Rnd 12 or started Rnd 14 but here we are kicking off Rnd 15 tonight with the Roar hosting the Victory.

Keep an eye out for an Antonis yellow card, he is sitting on 4 cards with us being their next fixture.

High time one of these lower placed teams did us a favour and actually beat one of the top teams. It's aggravating to go 8 games unbeaten yet only go up a few places in the league table. Maybe tonight's the night....

....or maybe not! Toivonnen puts MV ahead.

And we have the now familiar sight of Taggart butchering a golden opportunity.

Taggart is just...not good.

What a ball from Antonis to Toivonen - those two are their best players while Honda is injured.

Hat trick for Kosta. 5-0

Roux in on it too. Four Kiwi goals, not bad!

God Brisbane are just terrible.

Probably missed in all the action, but a worthy mention at least. Kosta's first goal tonight was his 50th in the A-League! - he's also up to 6th for all time goals for the A-League too, jumps above Sergio van Dijk & Jamie McLaren.

Let's hope he's not in this kind of form come the weekend.

Victory have scored more goals at Suncorp this season that the Roar now.

is that Kosta's first hatty?

Brisbane played ok in patches, made Victory look very ordinary at times. Or were victory just cruising along in third gear? They were certainly clinical in front of goal compared to the Roar. Shots on goal 20-12 to the Roar. MoM was Thomas for me, hope he has a bad game against us.

Yes it was Kosta first hattrick in the league, his 50th goal wasn't last night. It was last time they played the Roar on 14th Dec when they beat them 4-2

Kosta Barbarouses A-League stats

Went from this, have gone through it and see they have awarded a goal to Kosta on 2-Nov-15 that was actually an own goal for Durante http://www.aleaguestats.com/ALeagueStats_25Players...

Majok right up top for WSW. Should be interesting.

WSW long overdue for a change of luck. Officiating has gone heavily against them this season.

00:31 - @de_laet_r has scored @MelbourneCity's fastest ever @ALeague goal, and the fastest goal in the competition since Nicolás Martínez scored at 00:20 for the Wanderers in November 2016. Surprise.

Can no bottom 4 team do us a favour!

Frankly a miracle they held out so long. Their 'organisation' at corners was laughable.

This is getting rather annoying, City have been horrible yet keep picking up the points.

City did just lose to CCM last week, so we are getting some 'favours' from bottom 4 teams.

No good us throwing away 2 goal leads then blaming the bottom teams for losing. But yea, the way WSW threw it away is frustrating.

0-0 in the F3 Derby at HT. Doesn't sound like a very good game?

Permalink Permalink

Not a classic, that's for sure. Hyphen netted but a mile offside, couple of other Jets chances but only one that was really close.

Wow went out, came back in and the tiniest player I've ever seen has been subbed on for CCM.

Josh Nesbit apparently.

Lucky head bandage does the trick for Sheppard.
