WSW playing only one central midfielder ... I knew they were missing 3 cuz of suspension/Olyroos call ups but would have thought they had more in their squad. Some rather big squad numbers on the bench for them.

WSW now have 10 days to soul search before traveling to Wellington.

WSW a bit hard done by with that 2nd goal.

Doesn't seem right that they had to play with 10 men for a long period due to a players blood sidelined from a yellow card challenge. The goal scored by Roar was straight down the middle where Zeigler would have been defending.

In that instance a blood bin replacement like in rugby would seem fair enough.

Does ROD get credited for an assist because of the elbow that took Zeigler out ?

But overall not a great game. WSW prob didn't deserve to win it anyway.

WSW didnt do enough to win but the should not have lost it the way they did. Had Zeigler been on the pitch he would have been positioned in central midfield where the run began from to start the scoring move. Not saying he would have stopped it but wasnt there to have a chance due to a dirty slap in the face. Should have only been a yellow but it sucks that WSW were down for 5 monutes while the cut was sorted.

And the fire alarms have been set off by the smoke. This could be an interesting one if they decide to play it tonight.

Kurto no sweeper keeper. Bitumen falling apart.

I told you last week Western were shark. Kurto, oh my lord, he's called Durante out of that, then they both missed it completely. Berisha is complete and utter crap. Aspro is one of their better players and he's hopeless.

City looked quality last night - WU were poor across the park. The penalities will gloss over their complete lack of a midfield. The break has come at the right time for them. they need their injured players to come back in.

I thought City looked pretty poor against a very poor WU. They were constantly turning over the ball and only scored through WU mistakes rather than their own work.

I thought City were good in the first half and control the game well. They had the one bit where they feel asleep after the first drinks break and Western really should of scored.

Diamanti was really the only one giving City real trouble, they sure let Berisha know he was covered.

Really both penalties were bit of brain farts from keeper and defender. The second one even more annoying as it should have stayed with the onfield call and not been changed to a red. They got it wrong for DOGSO, as you have to take into consideration direction and defenders. Direction takes the ball across the box instead of towards go, then you also have defenders tracking back. If you are going to say the attackers had a chance to get the ball and shoot, then you also have to allow that a defender could have got back and intercepted the ball or made a tackle. Then if you can't 100% say its DOGSO, then the correct call was the one on the field and is SPA (stopping a promising attack), Yellow and a pen.
