For a Ref on A-League debut, I thought Jacewicz did a very good job last night. She was barely noticeable, which is always a good thing for a Ref. Admittedly there wasn't much heat to the contest, so that helped a lot.

I rate her decision making better than most of the other A League referees. Clear decisions.

Berisha (or another Rowles oggie?) makes it three, 3-0

Diamanti has hurt himself, that may stem the bleeding for CCM.

Burgess is having himself a game today.

WTF do CCM have to do to score? Last 10 minutes they've had chance after chance. WU had 2 break aways and couldn't score.

Looks like a tough night for the Mariners.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Lack of a quality striker is a big problem for them. Jair is proving to be a bust. Now who would've predicted that?

Football can be a cruel game. CCM were a better side today and lost 3-0 .

Western sat back on the 3 goal lead and let CCM play and even then, they didn't create any good chances. Their whole game plan seems to be slowly build up out of midfield and whip in a hopeful cross into the box.

Yep, despite one or two close shaves it was all a bit hit and hope. Odd, because we have seen them play some really inventive attacking football at times.

I think CCM put in something like 37 crosses into the WU penalty area.

A bit like Wellington Phoenix: The Lochy and Bertos Years.

Although many happy memories from those days.

Would be interesting to see that, at least to find out what we managed to dodge.
