Derbies as far as the eyes can see this weekend.

Torrential rain forecast for NSW tomorrow, so the Sydney Derby might be touch and go. Warratahs play at Newcastle the night before the F3 derby, so who knows what the pitch is gonna look like for that.

City take an early lead,  1-0

Roux's got his head screwed on the wrong way tonight. Free header, should've scored there.

Victory can't find any space going forward

Hoogland has had a very poor game so far for MV.

....but that off the line header to keep it 1-0 almost makes up for it.

J-Mac!!, 2-0

That is just a class counter attack...

Backs to the wall and thought MV banging down the door were going to equalise, but that was slick.

Victory on the canvas this season already?

Glover oggie, that was a shocker. 2-1

Poor bastard. That is a horrible mistake from the young guy.

Rojas winning the foul in the build up too... Surely that is Toivonen's goal as well?

Absolutely crap keeping. Of all the free kicks Toivonen has taken during his time in Melbourne, he looked embarrassed that he scored off that!

Wtf is Basha doing? Marco's making a run out wide free as a bird and Basha ignores him and passes backwards - with 2 minutes to go!

edit: was Poulson not Basha.

Once Kruse went off it was all over.

Some keepers take a long time to mature in the A League. Redmayne, Thomas and Izzo all had some horrendous games in their first few years. But I don't think this guy's going to make the grade. He's too lightweight and nervy. City are really the only team in the league without a decent keeper.

Ryan famously had a shocker or two in his first few games at CCM. Look at him now!

He also had one of Aussies best Keeper coaches teaching him. Not sure who is City's Keeper coach atm

Sydney Derby this evening has been canned after torrential rain in Sydney the past 48 hours, with more downpours forecast throughout the day and later this evening. Match will be rescheduled at a later dater.

100mm in 36/48 hours? Isn't that a good day in Wellington?

The good news is that the rain might just deal to those bush fires.

Pretty sure Blues played Waratahs in Super rugby, on that Newcastle pitch in some rain last night.

Another reason not to go ahead.

Kanta hurt in the opening few minutes and Jets opt to put on an attacking mid instead of Ridenton, strange

Yeah I thought that was telling too. Mind you, I don't think Matty has been up to scratch in his appearances this season.

Wheels falling off CCM. Wtf was Rowles doing on the back post there? Turned himself 360 degrees and fell on his arse.

One more goal to the Jets puts CCM last.

Brisbane have now woken up, game pretty even.

That was a deserved win with supurb goals from both sides. Please note - The referee had an excellent game despite the weather conditions. It really was a good game to watch as a neutral.

That's the Jets for you. 2-0 up, should be 4-0 and they've been literally queuing up to score. Yet now there is only a goal in it at half time.
