Bizarre game. Full throttle suicidal attack and appalling defending. Entertainment plus!

What a great goal. He's in hot form recently.

Perth are a class act.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

AAH on at half time, Fowler switching to route one football

Grant very very lucky there. Really should've been a second yellow.

Hasn't been too much of route one. A-Holl has got surprisingly good feet and fits in well with their passing game, just lacking a finish.

Roar equalizes from a corner,  1-1. Roar deserved that

Yep, got to give Fowler credit, he has turned this team right around. They've become a very solid unit.

Marco starts for the Victory,  Wessi on the bench for the Jets

Poor old Arroyo: two great finishes, both disallowed.

Jets finally rewarded for their dominance, 1-0

A rare example of VAR getting the right result and without controversy.

Finishes 1-1. Rojas nearly stole it at the death but a great save by Italiano.

I think I read somewhere that Rojas played as a 10 in Europe? He was underwhelming in the role in Newcastle.

Think SønderjyskE often had him in midfield but not as a 10.

Victory's midfield was dire in the first half, not much he could do if they couldn't get him the ball. But I do agree he needs to play wider and on the last man rather than have the DM all over him for 90m

I admire CCM for hanging in there, heads up, always pushing. They didn't play badly.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Yeh they gave it there all, credit to them. Didn't deserve to lose 3-0. You could see they ran out of gas at the end.

But there final product in the last third was terrible, over hit crosses, too many touches, wrong options. I don't think Remayne's goal was seriously threatened at any stage.

Hope they can turn it round and inflict more pain on Mark Rudan this week.

CCM are infinitely better than what they've been like for the last few seasons, but they are still a ways away from the A-League benchmark. Unfortunately, they are just carrying far too much deadwood. If Stajic sticks around for a few more seasons, he might be able to get something started there.

They've got the beginnings of a good team with some promising youth prospects, they just need the support built around that.

If next season's visa spots are spent wisely, they're back in the mix

They have all 5 available for next season atm. However they have been very poor with their visa recruitment since Arnie left. There is little to suggest that next seasons crop will be better.

Would you rather 6 years at the top and 6 years at the bottom like the Mariners or 12 years in the midfield with blips of being at the top and blips of being bottom like the nix?

It sucks for them now but at least they've won the thing.

they may have won they thing (2013), but since then they have been largely disappointing - I'm not sure if they have had the same anti-nix stuff to deal with or ownership changes either. Just a theory on not paying for championships and wanting to build their youth, which really hasnt worked for them. I think feeling some sympathy for their fanbase is warranted, they were flying high, and for a long time they have been in the bottom 2 of the league.

interestingly the year they won the league the nix came last...

Queenslander 3x a year.
