Providing score stays 1-0 WSW at halftime, im throwing $20 on Heart to win. Theyre turning into long odds but still very much capable of 3 points here

Tough luck. Perhaps Gerhardt's got his own bet on this match.

What was Gerhart thinking? Should have been an easy clearance.

He was under no pressure though, he couldve taken a touch and then dealt with it, instead of whatever that was that he was trying to do

Didn't think he had it in him. Next Hoffman will be scoring.

TAB was paying $10 for the draw just before that

Up until then I thought my Croatian source was correct in saying that Tadic was rubbish.
He has been, until then.

Momentum has just flipped around since that goal by Tadic. I'm still hoping that Wanderers can get another goal.

Crowd: 8,075. That just seems really poor for the heartland of aussie football.

Apparently most of the fan base dont care for the A-League though, theyre more into State League football, or overseas football.

Kind of dont really want the Wanderers to do well though, part of me just wants to see them wither away like Knights, Fury, GCU. Just so FFA really know what its like for the people who have poured in their millions only to lose everything

It's not great, but Heart's crowds are still much the same three seasons on. I was very cynical about WSW coming into the league but so far it looks promising. The team looks fairly decent for a brand new franchise, Popovic seems a good choice of coach, the crowds are vocal. Looks a much better bet than Fury or Cold Ghost.

They have a good base to start from, good coach & team. But isn't West Sydney about 3 times the size of GCU and 10 times North QLD populations?

Heart have the problem of not having a defined identity, Wanderers do. Hopefully the crowds come if they keep doing well.

This I don't understand, Rugby League claim Western Sydney as their Hearltand. AFL are trying to have a go at it. Is it everyones heartland?

Isn't it just full of boguns?

Bogans = Heartland

If you ever hear somwhere described as the 'Heartland' you can bet they're stripping cars on the lawn, listening to death metal while cooking P in the shed and 'keeping it in the family'.

Don't believe me? Just look at the list of places that compete in rugby's Heartland Championship.

Told ya.

Very much this!

Western Sydney already has many clubs with Effnik origins in the NSW State League that were once in the NSL (Marconi = Italians, Olympic = you can work that one out!, United = Croatians, Parramatta = Maltese) where fans can go to be effnik so why would they go support a new team, with their effnik rivals by their side, that doesn't allow them to display their effnik selves?

The smart play by the FFA would have been to use Penrith as their "West Sydney" team and call the team Penrith so they have an identity to start with!
