League Banter - The Matchday thread

Four starters out for tonight, not sure whether to go very defensive and try for the draw or just play as normal, I have no CM so troubles a plenty.

I have a Yellow Fever double header!

The Trains host the Los Halcones, and the Steam Engines are away at Newtown Park against Wellington United.

Steam Engines down 0 - 1 after 4 minutes.

No, wait! 1 - 1 after 5 minutes at Newtown Park!

2 - 1 United after 9 mins.

Scoreless at The Bush...

Half an hour in and it is 0 - 0 at Home Bush Road, but The Trains and Los Halcones are not the only teams who have failed to score yet.... in fact every game in the league is 0 - 0 except the Fafe are up 1 - 0.

United up 3 - 1 at half time against the Steam Engines...

Noticed that when I scored, pretty happy to come out with a 2-0 victory last night and move up to 9th in the table 

Still only 5pts ahead of 12th for Sponsorship goals & need to concede less than 10 goals in the last 8 games. Could be quite tight in both those goals.

2-1 win for me, in 11th place now, a very clear top 10 so won't go any higher but I keep beating top 8 sides, so good promise for next season.

 4 points out of automatic relegation so hopefully I can hold my position and manage to stay up

4-1 win over rivals sky valley on Friday put me top of the league by 4 points with 8 games to play. Am also 2nd in Australia, equal on points with 1st but behind by a goal difference of 5. 

Going to be an exciting end to the season!

Trains up 0 - 2 after 12 minutes away to ANE2

3-0 up in my game. The team in 2nd place is still 0-0. 

Also 1-0 up in Australia, and the team at the top of the league is still 0-0, so could go top if things stay that way.

 5-1 up in my game, 1 point off top place again.

Another horrid result, down 3-1, going to continue my cleanout, might spend my morning working on which players to keep and which to try and sell before the Superbowl :)

Nooooooo, my best player is out for 4 games and I have no cover at that position, I'm basically playing a B team at the moment.

I brought Craig Jones back into the heart of midfield to partner young Tim Hickey, and the two of them together are dominating. We're 0 -3 up away heading into the sheds for oranges... Tim's got a stunning goal, so has Charlie ring, and Giovanni Kidd even chipped in with a rare headed goal from a corner. The Trains are storming along...

 dammit, 0-0 draw and I've drapped to 4th, now 6 points behind 1st. Must regain winning streak.

Hows this for a couple of exciting ends to the season coming up for my teams!

Haha I can only dream of scoring 80-90 goals on the season...I took a big hit with a 6-1 loss last night, Eaton added himself another goal. Think the aim now has to be to stay above 12th.

3-0 win, opponents only had 1 shot on target, solid defending! Comfortably in 11th now

A rare win for my lot last night.  Puts us 2 points away from the relegation playoff spot, which if I'm honest, I'm not too sure I want.  Would quite happily head back down to the Championship while I look to rebuild.  In saying that, I'd like to be the top promoted side from last season.

A comfortable 6 - 1 win in the end.

Another loss and I am in serious danger of dropping down even further than my current 12th spot.

yup, one loss to a mid table team cost me big time, I beat the RCB 'B' team 19-0 last night though, have second place at home next hopefully I'll beat them and claim second spot back, then it's a tough fight for first.

 beating second place 2-1 with about 5 to go, 4th is holding 1st to a 2-2 draw, only 4 points off claiming my title back.

I won 2-0 and the team in 2nd place lost. So am now 6 points clear with 3 games to play. Should be back in the premiership with another trophy :D

Team in 2nd has Sky Valley next, hoping my rrrrrivals can help me out!

Was hoping for a draw at best here.  Up to 7th with 3 games to go, must stay above 9th.

2-0 victory with 10 men and 38% possesion, plus now get my star player back, 11th place is looking secure.
