Hmmm and instead the defense let them through and we're down 2-0

OUCH! And in another minute it's 3-0.

With 5 minutes added time there is a chance as Scarrott scores a nice goal. 3-1

Had to make some pretty drastic changes for the draw, gave the supporters a dead boring game to watch, extremely defensive, no strikers. Enough to get the point though, and almost full capacity at home :)

thinking I may have to do something similar against the top team - relegated and very strong.

Parking the bus ftw. That was my tactic last season in the premier league. Park the bus the knock it up to askew up front and hope he'd get one in. Worked incredibly well against the top sides, just couldn't beat the teams around me annoyingly.

Allegedly

After a shocking start to the season, now unbeaten in 4 with three wins putting me back to mid-table and two points off the play-offs.  Going to be a few buys/sales this season, so could be quite up & down.

I'm sitting nicely in the mid table...Looking a lot better compared to how I went last time in the championship

The Trains are on the road to take on the Fafe next... and it's the TV Match of the Round on Big League Soccer too! Woot!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Good Luck tonight, I am hoping my boys step up after a pair of disappointments. Looking forward to the test.

Tough battle for me against a relegated side, should really test my top of the table unbeaten position. They have some really good players obviously, but the manager is inactive - their talent should overcome the weird playing out of position auto-manager feature so I'm an underdog, they've only conceded twice all season. Aiming for a draw to stay unbeaten.

got the top of table team at home tonight, hes way stronger player for player, I'm hoping I can out do him tactically

*slump* Fafe up 2 - 0....

Still 0-0 here, would keep my unbeaten start alive but move me back to third. Fairly even game, 9/5/4 to 7/4/5.

2 - 1

owch, a 6-2 thumping by Hammertime2 ... that's not going to help.

He shifted his squad about a bit to be a bit more balanced, my guys couldn't cut it.

Close to a sold out stadium though with a lot of upgraded revenue boosters, looking forward to payday on Monday :)

Wow just had a look at their top goalscorer for the game Wynton Zoricich, 4 goals - he's 19 with 4 stars!!!

Payday on Monday, what's that?  I dread Monday's.

Very happy with that result, nice work from my boys, Leilei scores again, that's 11 from 12 in all games, 5 from 7 in the league.

I know my team is not better than the Trains, but the win helps me stabilise  in 7th. The top 4 have a bit of a break now looks like defence makes a difference there, though having a laugh at MC United in 11th (7 games 5 GF, 3 GA) or 7th best Defence, Manchester United B, sitting in 18th with 1 GF, 9 GA.

Now Fafe are on the road Dunedin & then off to Hamilton to face the Tiger Cats. Need to get some points from those ones.

I was 4th going into an away match against the 3rd place team... 1-0 after about an hour and conceded an equaliser to draw 1-1... now I'm down in fifth. Lost opportunity. Must resist the urge to tinker.

4-1 loss tot he top of the table makomakos - probably should have left my subs on the bench.

Still unbeaten after a 0-0 draw against a very good side last night, probably a fair result, another stellar showing from my keeper but the opponent's was good also. Fall back to third but still a 0 in the loss column, nice to look at.

Tonight the Fafeful have made the trip south to Dunedin, we are looking forward to taking on the 12th placed team.

In other Yellow Fever games in League 1 Group 1 Los Halcones take on B ManU, the bottom team in our division, and the Trains take on MC United as they try to recover from their last game loss.

Facing 4th placed team so playing defensive. Luckily they are playing slightly defensive which hopefully will reduce the amount of chances they have.

Playing a bit of a different formation tonight as well

League 1 Group 1 has seen a series of away goals, Fafe's star striker Leilei has scored to give us a 1-0 lead, while Los Halcones have also scored to lead in their game. The Trains though have conceded after 11 mins and will be hoping to turn the game around.

Shh!! You'll jinx it!
Seriously lacking firepower at the pointy end of the field.  Midfield goes good, but otherwise need to have a look at replacing GK, pretty much the whole backline, and get a couple solid strikers

So I shouldn't mention that Delfim has got a brace (His 10th & 11th league goals this season?), and you now lead 2-0 at the half?

Fafe hold the 1-0 lead as well.

0-0 at halftime, my squad is missing my starting MC and best DC but I'm still going to back myself to take this one in the second spell.

And a second yellow for one of the opposition's centre backs makes a change to the game.

The only two sides ahead of me are being held to draws, looks like I will frustratingly be the same.

Right leading with 10 to go, it is Sub keeper time ;)

Still just 1-0 for Fafe, Los Halcones lead their game 2-0, while the trains are trailing 3-0 now.

Happy with another win, moves us to 5th in the league, though 3pts behind the playoffs

5-1 victory keeps me third

Any idea what happened? It was a shocking result to me watching it tick up.

Well tonight's game is a defining moment for my team as we face Hamilton TIger Cats at their place. They have been one of the best teams in our league so far this season. At a point when it is really important as we lead a huge midtable pack and would rather be chasing the playoff spots than dropping as many as five spots following a loss. Is also the TV match of the round.

The other Yellow Fever teams in our league The Trains (6th) vs Gore C (11th), and Los Halcones (7th) vs Waitara (12th)

GOAL!!! What a start, Leilei scores a header from a corner in the 2nd minute for a 1-0 lead.

The Trains are off the mark as well leading 1-0
