3-1 win to move on in the playoffs, 1 game away from what would be finally a promotion to the second tier...
League Banter - The Matchday thread
<p>A 3-1 win to me aswell. Bring on next game. Can I get promoted??? Hope so</p><p>think it would be a rather short stay though</p>
Promotion, finally!
Wow I did it. Feel like it might be a short stay. But a good chance to test myself
haha got my usual championship title and automatic promotion to the premier league. Will get relegated next season.
My club is in such a weird place, perfectly in between the 2 divisions in terms of ability!
Finally have some time to sort my teams out.
Getting brutal about it.
Edit: woops, meant to put this in the transfers thread. #jetlag
Really excited about my start in the championship. No idea how it will go. But if I can avoid the automatic drop I'll be happy
2-2 against a mutch better team at half time but holding my own so far
Up 1-0, hoping to hold the advantage
I lost 4-1 to another promoted team. Not a great start!
lost 4-2 to two late goals
1-1 draw for me, decent start
7-1 loss. 7 goals from 8 on target 2 losses from 2 so far. Both against good teams. Hopefully I get a turn around soon
First win in Div Two, 1-0 triumph.
Have a 1-0 win, 1-1 draw and 1-0 loss in my first three games, happy with that - have 260 mil in the bank too ready to spend so I can avoid automatic relegation.
3 losses so far... not good
i got my first point... a draw against a team i feel i should have beat. think i have realized that it is demotion this year.... hope somehow i can make it out of automatic relegation spots though
2 wins 2 losses, early days but I've also offloaded a couple of foreign players and replaced them with better kiwis
Thought if things went well could get some points out of today. Cue a red card in the 8th minute and down 3-0 at half time
Missed an 85th minute pen which would have put me up 2-1 against NCR, immediately conceded :-/. Deserved a point but promising signs I guess.
Got my first win. Feeling good
The Trains are second by one point with 5 wins on the trot after an opening day loss. The squad is really starting to grow into itself now, with everyone now at least 3.5 stars and a good sprinkling of 4 star players throughout (5 of them now) and Captain Adrian Brock well on his way to 4.5 stars.
Ed Moir, our young protege in goal is really settling in to the first team now. He's 19 years and 8 months old and just starting to bloom, or not bloomed yet, late bloomer depending on which scout you listen to...
Tough game today, against Waimate FC, they have hyde and i am currently down 1-0, not looking good but i have finnaly got my first shot in the 38th minute....
2-0 win to jump out of the relegation spots and into 10th
After an opening day loss, The Trains are on a 6 game winning streak... long may it continue...
Another loss and a red card plus yellow card suspension 4 out from my defense....

You will be my 2nd scalp in the league. My players will all r back by then.
Streak extended to 7
Steam Engines dealing to Los Halcone Juniors tonight... 5 - 1 after 79 minutes.
After the first meeting was a 0 - 0 draw it's always neen a goal fest:
Halcones Jnrs 4 - Steam Engines 2
Steam Engines 2 - Halcones Jnrs 5
Halcones Jrs 2 - Steam Engines 4
Halcones Jnrs 2 - Steam engines 5
Steam Engines 0 - Halcones Jnrs 3
6 -1 final score.
Got another win away from home tonight. 2-1. Out of the auto relegation spots too
Got another win away from home tonight. 2-1. Out of the auto relegation spots too
Gotta be happy about that then!
I am stoked. Still haven't played many of the teams around me so am feeling good
Sunday's home match at Homebush Road vs. Bloodnuts will be the first game at the Bush where the third teir will be open to the fans. Capacity upgraded to 40,000 this week.
12-1 win for the B's tonight, was accidentally playing defensively too. 28 shots, 82% possession.
Another loss and another injury.... Back in auto relegation zone
3 draws last night.
Dropped to bottom of the premier league in nz, still winless after 11 games. Going down.
3 - 0 win for the Trains, 11 games on the trot unbeaten. Second on the table.
Got my first big scalp in Div Two with a 2-1 win over Southern Hawks despite playing with 10 men for half the game. Game-sealing goal coming from my 18 year old phenom up front, very pleasing.
Although NU will probably give me a beating next game up, I've been very competitive thus far without spending any of my cash, so hopefully the upcoming upgrades will have me safely away from automatic relegation.
RESULT!!!
Trains go 2 points clear at the top with a 0 - 3 away win over previous leaders, Kura Hard Gs.
