A 2-0 loss to the team in second place puts me in fourth, still close-ish at the top but I've lost my best player for 2 games now, going to be a tough cup encounter now :-/

went down 2-1 to the makomako rovers last night, they were down to 10 men for a good chunk on the final half which allowed me to bounce back - still sitting second and have a 12 point buffer to third.

good luck in the cup against these guys Whips.

Leading 1-0 over the team that was above us in the table. Really need to win this for any chance to get back in the top half.

Goal by Leilei once again (Was not injured long term after last night.

Injuries in friendly matches don't count.

In WTF news, The Grudge are leading Deportivo Manakau 10-0 (They are in 3rd & 4th in the league)

Noooo not another late equaliser... 1-1 here.

Did they have an outfielder in goal by any chance?

Woohoo! 3-1 win for Los Halcones, although injuries and cards are starting to build up and I've got a pretty small squad this season, reserves aren't nearly up to it yet either

And Deportivo Manukau just changed their name from Potential Fools too... sounds like a top league player might have left/abandoned?

Was wondering who they were...but what a crazy result? Surely changing the team in the middle of the season makes it unfair on teams who have already played them?

I checked the squad before the game, and Deportivo Manukau/Potential Fools team was full of 3.5 - 4.5 star players, as it had been all year.

Now if you check the game http://trophymanager.com/matches/63982627/ they are all gone and replaced with filler 1.5 - 2 star players players with 7/8 skills on all stats. e.g. their goalkeeper has 8 on all skills.

So bad luck if you'd played Potential Fools twice with their killer squad, good luck if you still have to play Deportivo Manukau.

I think they've been marked as inactive already.

Last minute winner to a substitute for a 2-1 victory, keeps me in fourth. I don't really want promotion but I do want the experience of having a playoff spot, it's a three-horse race for two spots right now, holding on for dear life.

still sitting comfrtably in the top play off spot - 2nd - managed a 4-1 win last night.....if I'm right the playoff would be against 4th? which could got to one of about three teams, each I've beaten comfortably.

I can't remember exactly how it works. But you have to win 2 playoff games to get promoted, one of which would probably be from the division above you.

Allegedly

yeah fingers crossed that one is a home game......should be seeing I'll be top qualifier for the playoffs.

Great stuff last night, a 4-1 win coupled with teams around me losing points put me in third, one point behind second and four points clear of missing out on a playoff spot, a nice little buffer.

3-2 win over R.AKL Academy gets me up to 4th

next game against "the grudge"

Not ready for promotion, and just need to stay in the top 12 for my sponsorship goal

talk about setting your sights low.....

I know, didn't think I'd go as well as I did.

Spent stuff all on players this season, was planning on just building up facilities and setting up for next season.

I've managed to target top 3 for the last couple of season and finished 3rd twice, this time second is on the cards so has worked well for me. Havent spent alot on players - maybe one bug purchase each season.

game tonight proving a tough one, 0-0 after 26 mins, no majors though, regardless of the result I stay 2nd

Struggling because you have to play in Manukau?

must be loads of scary looking people on the sidelines,

half time still 0-0 for the nix, this would be one of the few scoreless games we've had thus far.
