Looks like Gareth was right, defence doesn't win you championships! One more win gets me promoted so that's the goal, looks like the title and pro days might be a lost cause!

Division 1 is incredibly one sided.... Be intresting to see whether a team like Sky Valley can put up a good fight next season.

I'm sure Sky Valley or whoever else comes up will be competitive.  I know that my team is coming towards an end of a cycle (in terms of player ages), where I'll basically have to go with some younger less able talent and look to sell some of my older guys.  I'm almost assured to get relegated to the Championship (in the 'real' league) next season, so it'll be a period of change for me.  With the way Para Disjointed are playing, they could get up for the title next season-although I think Tegal will have something to say about it.

Yeah it's going to be very competitive next season. Disjointed getting more and more upsets over us, soon you won't be able to call them upsets.

Also the trains and sky valley have been consistently awesome. Back to back promotions for both of them, has seen them go from the bottom tier to the premiership.

Speaking of which, might start up the new thread tonight for sign ups etc.

So I need Highlands FC & Surge to both win, and then hope I can win next week to have any chance at promotion? Also need to make up +4 goal Diff on the Whipping Boys, not liking my chances...

It is harder for me if Whipping Boys win tonight, but then I would need to beat Surge, hope Elite beat Highlands & make up the +4 goal diff...NEED some HELP!

I haven't been able to get on for a while so whoever I'm playing has a good headstart - not that it's really needed lol... the sooner I can get a new (replacement/cheap) laptop the better. Working for the gummint sucks... *everything is blocked!!!

Can you play injured and suspended players in friendly leagues? Because if not I'm screwed.

Yeah I haven't in the past despite suspecting you can, can anyone make a verdict on this? Happy to play the scrubs and lose if it's the honourable thing

Personal Preference I guess. I tend not to, as I think its better to test everyone's squads rather than best XI.

I don't play them, but if you can and still look at yourself in the mirror in the morning without suffering a guilt-induced psychotic breakdown then go for it ;)

Don't think I will, might as well see what I've got coming for the next four games or so

Easier stats to crunch: If I don't beat Highlands tonight, they are the division champs. If it's a draw, they are 90% there, if I win then it could come down to goal difference. Huge game, that's why I'm disappointed all my guys are out injured.

must admit I was expecting the RFC squad to come out a little more aggressively. odd shape too? I'm trialling a new shape with my non banned and injured players need to test it for the next league game.

TTU 1-0 up against me as he looks to seal the title.

And in the wooden spoon match Tawa fc is beating me 1-0 also.

Very depressing.

Sorry, playing a couple of suspended players this game.  Usually try not to, but couldn't get on the net before 8 to change the team after last nights cup game.

Congrats to Div 4 winners Highlands FC, I came back from 2-0 down only to concede once more, my hopes were up for a second! Never mind, was a good battle.

EDIT: Now I need Highlands to beat Elite FC to make sure I get promoted! Go Highlands!

I am also cheering for Highlands, though I need a 3+ goal victory over SurgeFC at the same time (4-0 would be useful, think I need to start out VERY attacking)

Congrats to TTU for wrapping up another premiership with a massive win over me. Tawa FC also all but avoids the wooden spoon with their win. Disjointed can snatch 2nd place with a casual 16-0 win next week.

Sky Valley 1 - 0 Racing Club North Shore
Khandallah Lokomotiv 1 - 1 Sanchez A.F.C
Sky Valley take the 2nd division title with a game in hand after they won and the trains were held to a draw. The trains still gain automatic promotion however. Sanchez A.F.C's draw sets up a great contest next week against Racing Club North Shore - if sanchez wins that game, they are safe and Racing Club north shore go down. Peow FC will be looking to beat the champions Sky Valley, and hope Sanchez fails to win their game, to avoid the wooden spoon.

Naenae take the division lead with their win, as Racing Fat cockneys relinquish it with their loss. Wellington Phoenix FCs impressive win over the fat cocks sees them out of the relegation zone. Next week the Racing Fat Cockneys will be looking to win the third division title, a win which would also see their rivals Tawa AFC relegated to the 4th division. Tawa AFC need to better Wellington Phoenix FCs result in order to stay up.

Waikato Whippingboys 2 - 3 Highlands FC
Surge Thunder FC 0 - 2 Elite F.C.
In the game of the round, Highlands FC scored a 61st minute winner against Waikato to take the division 4 title with a game in hand. Elite F.C. also moved out of the relegation zone and even gave themselves a chance at promotion next week with their win against Surge Thunder FC.
To gain promotion next week, AD Fafe needs to beat bottom of the table Surge Thunder FC by 4 goals or more, they'll probably just be looking for a win to give them a chance at avoiding theoretical 'relegation' to begin with though - both scenarios require Elite F.C. to lose to top of the table Highlands FC.
Elite F.C. simply need to beat top of the table Highlands FC to gain promotion. A draw would give a slight danger of relegation if AD Fafe win by 2 or 3 goals. While a loss would leave them hoping AD Fafe don't win.
Bloody close division all season, with so many permutations.

Has been an excellent 4th Division, soo close all season long. Just wondering in case I win 3-0 and Elite loses or draws, what is the second tie break after Goal difference? Of course going on current league form is more likely i lose 3-0 (Lost 6-1 last night, conceding Sponsor goal gone, position tight, now in 12th)
