If you what to add some international flavor

My Chilean side

Atheos Arenas Club ID: 3174465

My Cameroon side

Atheos United Club ID: 3174530

Both play in division 2 so should be of equivalent standard to the Kiwi Division 2 (Championship)

Cool!  I'll give it till the end of this week to see if there are any other takers, if not we'll roll with 6 teams.

Does anyone know Conan and Detoxin's teams names/ID?

OK all who expressed interest have been invited so check your friendly league invites.

Auskiwi - I wanted to include one of your other clubs but both are already in leagues.

Will roll with 5 teams if we don't get any more by mid next week.

I forgot about my Cameroon side with the friendly league just starting, sorry.

My Chilean side is now free of obligation so for some south American flavor...

Yeah your in the too good for championship, not quite good enough for premier zone.

If I was you I'd be looking to stay a couple of seasons in championship to routine and skill up your younger players.

Still, I'm not and you'll still be too good here, for now ;), but also sure we'll enjoy the challenge

Mmm could have been better for the Atheos franchise. Share holders not happy

TM's set up a new sponsor system that's running now and there is extras $'s available to all.

About the only chance I get to attend to my team at the moment is on my phone, and I find the mobile site cumbersome and frustrating so I'm only really maintaining my squad these days. I just tried to find info on the new sponsor system but couldn't, but in the process i found that even getting subbed on at 90mins gets you routine now. Anyway, how does the new sponsor system work? Is there a link to an explanation?

Finances > Sponsorship offers.

Then select either a 10, 20 or 30 day sponsorship deal.

The shorter the time and the higher the league, the better the deal.

Yes this seasons fixed sponsorship will also be paid out at the end of the year, but it will be the last sponsorship based on position and goals for/against.

Seems to reward regular players and will help newly promoted teams as it's not 12th or nothing anymore.

There is now a financial incentive to be promoted.

hmm but I just went to my finances page on the mobile site and I couldn't see sponsorship offers anywhere - just the usual table of revenue and expenses

Maybe grab a laptop, it's there and in Premier League you're missing out on $2M a day on a 10 day deal.

Big win away makes Onehunga 2 from 2. Looks like is the one to beat at this stage. A couple of home wins for me, against form. Maybe the trip to Punta Arenas took it out of FC Shaza ;) and the win against Premier league Sky Valley I'll put down to clash of formation and luck. With a bit of luck the Nix could win the league this year. But lucks not so good to rely on

How much routine do your players have? In my experience it can make a big difference to consistency.

Also, clearly"routine" is a bad translation. They should have called it experience and then there'd be less confusion about what it means

Yes routine is experience and should be changed.

It means a lot. I've a 4.5*  that only has 2.3 routine experience hence couldn't hit a barn door now.

I've found a player needs at least 20 before getting some consistency. About 3.0 -3.5 per season it's slow going.

On transfers, anyone else notice how many over 24y/olds with skills 70,000+,  have never played a game?

They will just be finding consistency in time to retire. Seems not enough running B sides.

Apparently there are some teams in premier leagues with no training or academy facilities and just buy high rec players.

Not bad going considering the level of Premier leagues around.

Atheos Aotearoa FC 1 - Onehunga Town AFC 4

After being hammered at home keeper AAFC's Smith is being investigated for using 'nose candy' after coach made an off handed remark that "Smith looked high". Others now being investigated include G. Elliot. C.Grey & A. Armit who all are known to party with Smith. Coach dismissed the speculation and while admitting the four were only there in body, he said the praise belongs to Towns M.Fisher, G. Lally & J. Chesson who made it look like men vs boys today.
