^ haha, classic.
Sorry bit slack with these updates but last rounds scores:
FC Shaza - Sky Valley | 0-1 |
Atheos Aotearoa - Onehunga Town AF | 1-4 |
Atheos Arenas - Rahui warriors f | 0-1 |
And this is how we finished (I think). Sorry for not being so great at keeping up with this towards the end.
Congrats to 'Sky' Valley naturally finishing top by a fair margin. Close run for 3rd but Rahui getting there with the better PD. Pretty competitive level aside from 2-6 placings really.

Well I've had enough of TM and will prob deactivate my account at some point later this season. Feel free to stick offers on my players. Might start selling off my squad
what's your team name?

Or you could dump your YA, sell off your non playing squad players and those in the squad that aren't really good enough. This would save you millions every week and put millions in your bank account.
Then just go and buy some proven 4.5* players with good routine and stamina and some with potential and see what happens. Only saying this because you're not in my league ;)
So far I've managed to get two of my sides in 1.1 without YA's.
You'll find the game is a lot lower maintenance.

one guess should be enough ;)

Squad is rather big as i had just culled the reserve team. Might give this a go as the team was doing okay without me. Had contemplated dropping the YA as it hadn't really had any decent picks in a while. I also don't pay for pro and the videos just aren't giving any return which was going to make things a tad harder

A good move to drop YA down to 2 ( Not zero, just in case you want it latter on) and sell off every player that won't be good enough for your squad, bar a couple of fillers. Think 4.5*. 4's aren't really good enough unless they are on the way up. Yeah you do have a big squad, lots of wages for nothing much on the field. :)You will save millions every week in wages and have money to burn on the transfer market after the sales come through
Shopping around one can still get U23 4.5* players for under $100m. Even without Pro you can still see if the younger ones are still blooming by looking after training day. Then you will have the before and after stats to compare. But even a 4* player around 65k skills, and is young enough will be 4.5* in a couple of seasons, usually.
Also if you just want to loose the wage start selling at $1/ Works for me and sometimes I even get more than I would have originally asked. And a good way for you to sharpen up you squad without it taking two seasons to sell them all.
Just some ideas mate. All the best.
Nooo don't quit Shaza!
I've chosen and stuck with the YA route as opposed to buying players route since the beginning. I got max YA and Training as quick as I could. I managed to get by by selling off 1 good player a season to balance up the books, but often sitting in the negative for the entire season. In the end I had to downgrade YA from 10 to 8, Training 10 to 6 and culled my reserve team which allowed me to get my bank balance right.
Now I'm in my 2nd consecutive season in Championship the TV money + larger stadium/attendance along with the new new sponsorship model I've gotten both YA and Training back to max again. Whilst keeping maintenance and (rising) salary costs in check and even to the point where I'm making quite a bit of money by the end of the season .
The reserve team has been back up and running and I steadily promote players (1-3 a season) to the top team. Aside from one foreign MC, all my players are YA pulls. And in some positions (wide/mid) I've actually just recently started to sell off young talents (18-19 y/o), including one 18* scouted MC or OML/R for a tidy $55 mil.
I haven't had the best season in Championship, worse than last year so far anyway, but even if I go down I feel that financially I'll be OK knowing I can always sell off a player or 2.
Because I don't scour for players on the transfer market my time spent playing the game is kept to a minimum. I maybe spend altogether 1 hour a week tweaking lineups and tactics, checking YA pulls, adjusting the odd training regime and renewing finances every 18 days.
Hang in there mate, need to keep up the grrrrivalry!
Unfortunate, It is time to start sending some of the kids out to avoid promotion
