Evening all - all the footage I have from Season 1 is now uploaded, so I've created a playlist:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRwEXY7QJ2F...

This is all the games in order, so if you're ever really bored you can relive the whole season (except the 2 matches I don't have, sorry)

Hope you enjoy it :)

How was Jackson able to keep a straight face when he said, "I didn't step on him on purpose, it was the only place I could put my foot"... true story...

Wynton's dozen for the Kingz:

Ran into CT around a month ago - you forget just what a bloody good guy he is.....we were talking about his days at Manurewa (I was always keen to go to Gallaher Park as a young'un in the early 80s, and stand up on the embankment), and his time at Papatoetoe. We chatted about the Kingz, and he said "it was a lot of fun, wasn't it?"....and it was. For CT, it probably wasn't all that fun at the time, but time and distance erases the bad memories.

Good guy, done more for NZ football than 99.9% of others

Yeh it was fun, lots.

Whatever happened to Ken Dugdale? Did he coach again post-Kingz?

Car door was related to Con Boutsianis - he did the dirty on the Kingz with his contract. Before that though he'd been the getaway driver in the armed robbery of a restaurant for which he got off really lightly. I think the car door was at the game where everyone dressed as robbers or cops - there were people running up and down the sideline with cap guns and Bloc 5 even produced a song sheet just for the game with all Con songs " Oh when the Greeks, rob the restaurant, oh when the greeks rob the restaurant, I wanna be the getaway driver when the greeks rob the restaurant - to "when the saints" was one I remember

Car door thing was the preseason game Riccardo, against Chile - the Con the convict game was last home match of that season v South Melbourne, but a damn fine evening in the Bloc, with one H. Ngata Esq in amongst leading the chants :) even though we got monstered on the scoreboard...

Not one scrappy goal there and so many were his first touch.  As good as Ryan was and Winston and Chris are now, Wynton still overshadows them hugely.  Such a pity we rearly saw him in White/Black/in NZ when he was at his peak.

That first goal just amazing. Classiest Kiwi goal ever imo.

Those goals are just WOW! The touch - superb, the composure, reactions. Simply the best.

and he was 40ish when he finished at the kingz as well.  He was and still is head and shoulders above anything NZ has produced

Would be great to have a full DVD of all his goals released. I mean from his German and Swiss career if possible.

Would be great if the Nix could honour CT, Wynton, Harry and Jacko in some way......if there was a Phoenix Hall of Fame, they should be in there (as the licence moved on to them) along with their own legends like Sigmund, Brown, Durante.....

To be fair Milts, I think Jacko played like a steaming pile of shark. But he's either number 1 or 2 in terms of appearances, isn't he?

re: Chris Jackson...if my records are correct, then he played 99 times for the Kingz, scoring 1 goal and picking up 1 red card and 28 yellow cards.

Only Harry Ngata made more appearances (128) and no-one else came close with bookings (Che Bunce with 12 is next on that list).
