I would give my left nut for one of those strips.

It's not that I want your left nut or anything.. but, I've got a lot of Kingz shirts at home Guym that I might be willing to part with. Not that one, but a good selection. Maybe we could drink some scotch sometime and review if any of them take your fancy?

Front row: Ally, Dion , ? Andy Spirite, ?, ?, Stack

That's all I can fill in.

Not the first season - but I've got the programmes for 1st and last games 2006/7

.... and on the back of the final programme is Brockie's signature! Tragic.

actually yeh, I'd include the fans who went to Confeds in France in 2003 in your storyline Smithy... was a number of Bloc 5 crowd, and a huge bunch of rabid Wharfies fans also appeared at the France game in Paris... results were awful, but it was a great week

Yeah was there... spent most of the night thinking how they looked like footballers but didn't have a good grasp of playing football - and how they were much slower than the Roar. Decent white kit tho!

I was at Suncorp  and there  was a pretty good crowd and you are right they were far slower than the Roar. Knights had a goal disallowed.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Smithy,

Some interesting information you could gleen from interviews

Rex Dawkins sponsorship years 2 -5 (wore canterbury strip the 1st season).

Mr G's shirt collection (Auckland guys cold help you track him down)

If the players ever wondered if they would be stranded in OZ with not enough money to get home due to clubs lack of $$

What really went on at the pondrosa - house shared by Utting, de gregorio and Stu Jacobs

Bloc 5 song book, yes they had one they gave out at a Wgtn game.

How good of a coach/player was Wynton.

Dennis K thoughts on Kids Kingz  tv programme.

I'm not really going for the hard hitting expose..."the truth behind the Kingz" or anything like that.

More capturing the vibe of it, the emotions, and getting a few of the key people on camera to share their stories. It won't be investigative journalism that's for sure.

But, some good points in there and I'll keep them in mind for sure. Harry Ngata said at one point that Wynton and Shane were coaches who were light years ahead of what he'd had elsewhere.

When you see some of the stuff Wynton did as a player at the Kingz it's obvious why he was Oceania player of the century

I remember interviewing Ivan Vicelich when he was at Roda - he said it took him less than a week there to realise everything the Rufers were doing was exactly what happens in Europe... whereas back in NZ they were getting slagged off...

I was there with my son at Suncorp. I still have 2 Roar caps we bought at the game. The game was the first A League game ever iirc

Who remembers the first ever Kingz game when Wynton had the pitch marked out extremely narrow on both sides?  Corners were nearly going out on the other side on the full

Malik Buari!  (Probably best ever Knights goal)

Great times...
