would love to see simon Elliott replace lia in that starting line up. not a slight on lia but Elliott still looks class.

^prob the best lineup - bit harsh on Greenie if he gets left out but what can you do.

Still not a fan of Manny at DM - he's a bit limited - but there is no doubt he did a job there last year

Swap Troy/Manny around as required.

Could swap Lia/Manny/Diego as required in midfield roles.

Depending who else they actually sign, and form, McAllister might get some decent time on the park.

I thought Daniel finished last season really well, so nice to squeeze him in somewhere if poss.

Just reading this thread, we've got a lot of depth in the midfield and on the wings, we do come a bit unstuck in the striker and CD positions but a couple of quality signings in those departments leaves us with a really great 1st XI and squad. Good times.

Elliottt for a year if he can't get anything in the US?

Odd for the A-league that we have 9 or 10 out of 11 from last season starting this season as well.

So far that squad is probably weaker than last season. Fingers crossed a signing or two will be starting material.

as a starting 11 any of those punted up would be fine (at the moment)

ideally 3 or the 4 touted signings will play in the middle - 1 each for def ,mid & attack

and I'd quite like lochy to have some competition for his position

pretty much stoked by the title of this thread

i think manny could have another big season. Hes still relatively young and was growing more and more with his confidence of making the Malta side.

I think we overlook him alot. He has so much versatility and can play anywhere in the defensive makeup of the side and is solid.

riki looking to sign 4 players who possibly can make the first 11, we will have a strong squad if that comes to fruition!

Soo much competition for players through midfield and up front there. Hearfield, Lia, Muscat, Daniel, Pavlovic and Bambang (if signed) are all in with a shout.

I think that Paston, Durante, Lochhead, Brown, Ifill and probably Bertos pick are all in. That leaves 5 spots for the rest of the squad to fight over, tough choices to be made, all the new players need to prove themselves. Praying that Toto is our Hernandez.

Tough choices even for places on the bench

Wouldn't mind seeing Hearfield in that wingback role. Although he is a good option off the bench with his versatility.

i think manny will go to right back instead

Would prob go Toto instead of Lia, and Manny instead of Lochhead myself

but Lochead has had experince in that position

If you dont play you cant get experience. From what i saw against Boca, Manny has to play somewhere and thats the logical place for him to slot in.

Bench: Crow, Daniel, Toto, Pav/Disco/Bambam

Its gonna be interesting in terms of wingbacks. Don't even know if lochhead will be fit tbh, so could be hearfield and manny on either flank again. But I want to see the sub bench all impact players really. Toto needs to earn his right to start, that way we will see his best. Daniel really dangerous against tired defenders too. So the last bench spot goes to a striker I would say. Bambang ?

All i'm going to say is thank f*ck you guys can count. Secondly, drinking and foruming should be banned.
