I'm definitely coming down for mini-Judas. And Lochhead. And I hate Sydney, so that one too. This could (once again) get expensive.

Better be on at the 4 kings!

And also, to those pissed off that we don't start with a home game, that is QF weekend in RWC with games on at Westpac Stadium.

Apart from Perth, works quite well in terms of RWC conflicts. First home game 4:30 on Sunday 16th could work OK with NZ semifinal (if they make it that far teehee) at 9pm that night.

I know, I know, its serious!

14 home games - 12 in Wellington, two elsewhere.

8 Sunday games, 2 each on Friday, Saturday and Wednesday

Two visits from each of Brisbane, Newcastle, Mariners, Perth and Sydney.

one of the brisbane games will be elsewhere.  Andl again Adeladie won't be playing in Wellington.

Still struggle to understand the point of 2 midweek dates in a season which is so short.

Aren't they during school holidays though? Bloody good idea IMO, i'll certainly be looking to bring the family down for those matches.

And certainly a bit more family friendly on Sundays, those times mean travel down, watch the game, and travel back still won't be TOO late for the kids.

Probably will miss the TBC vs Adelaide and will be going to Brisbane for that game around that time and also go to see GCU vs Heart.

Only 4 away games start at 10pm our time, all the rest are earlier. Like.

Love the marathon on January 4 - five games one after the other, starting with Phoenix v SFC at 3pm and ending at 2am the following morning.

The kick-off of the Wed 4 Jan game is at a family friendly 3pm, but for a lot of people that will be their first day back at work (most people will get Mon 2 and Tues 3 Jan as the New Year holidays). Ah well, good excuse to take an extra days leave.

Wonder how big crowds will be for the 5 games back to back on the 4th of Jan, not being a public holiday. It might not be too bad for us, if the first game of the year is the kids free game again.

Sounds like the November 19 game against Adelaide may well be at Eden Park - but still TBC.

Oh and ASB Premiership draw isn't usually out until September for a late October start.

Given the time frame they put on AMI stadium I cant see Chch getting a game this season (unless Uncle Bob gives them a hurry up)

Shame they it couldn't have been a different team.  Don't think we've seen Adelaide for the last 2 seasons at the RoF

Small print on the draw on the Phoenix website says the regional game is an FFA one so memberships/season passes won't apply - I assume we'd get preferential booking, same as for play-offs?

I still don't see how Chch can be ready for a game, but I'd love to be proved wrong, of course. Dunedin perhaps?

That makes me even more convinced it won't be in NZ.

The Wed 14 Dec is in Akld - a shame as I'll still be working no doubt.  Was looking forward to wearing yellow & black in Jordy Bean's manor and trying out my Spanish ("where is the chicken?")

"As previously advised AMI Stadium is expected to reopen in February 2012 in time for Super Rugby and the South African cricket tour of New Zealand."

Doesn't look likely

Wellington empties out post xmas till around the 10th of Jan - people are away, not available for a 3pm game in the first week of jan.*

*generalising somewhat, no one with any sense goes away over that period if they have other options /no kids/can work through that period.

4th Jan 3pm k.o. on a a mid-week working day, when many Wellingtonians traditionally are away as well?
Makes no sense to me.

Majority of businesses remain cliosed until the following Monday, plus plenty of people visit Wellington when others leave.  I don't think it's the dumbest scheduling idea.

Even non-retail businesses that are open tend to have a pretty relaxed attitude.

Not according to the published draw.

Two games are tagged as not at Westpac.  One the clubs choice and one FFA forced.

The other TBC is presumably an 'away game' for Roar fans, not nix.

Interesting. I took that from "Serepisos also said they were in discussions about taking a third match on the road to either Tauranga, Hamilton or Dunedin." More poor reporting then?
