I like the stripes however am still disturbed about the black box of doom on the back. 90% of the shirts I see don't have any number on the back so it just looks silly.

the people who buy them and dont buy numbers are silly, not the shirts. I saved up and got an Ifill one. Looks great

I would prefer Puma gear too, they make great kit. But if not Puma, then Adidas over Nike/Reebok.

I have plenty of Puma kit as it is, adding Phoenix shirts to the collection would make it perfect :)

Yeah I reckon our away kits should be like Fenerbahce's white and yellow striped ones.

Much more sensible to spend $40 on plastic letters, over & above the $130 for the shirt, than to spend the money on much more important things, such as; food for the kids, shoes, crushed apple cider, overdue taxes, etc.
It doesnt bother me that I dont have a name or number on the back of stripey, I'm proud to wear it(& remove with 10 to go).  I think that if you are going to put a name on the back, put your own name. Why put someone elses name on it- personally, I think thats "silly".

While I understand people struggling financially and maybe not being able to get a footballer's name and number on the back I must say I hate shirts with the owners name on it (unless he's a pro footballer - in which case he's horribly vain except when wearing it on the pitch).  Seeing a Phoenix shirt with, say "Greg" on the back is just cringeworthy.

Though Greg is a hilarious name.

Your own name on Stripey makes "your shirt" unique.
A big, fat, bald headed pommee wearing an Ifill #8 shirt, smacks of desperation of what might have been, IMHO.
I prefer to see the likes of "DAGAN", "COXEY", etc on shirts. Just my opinion though.

Not silly - just deciding to use the money elsewhere as KH has stated.

It's a stripey. That's all you need.

Since I don't have eyes in the back of my head I don't really give a toss if it looks like a black box of doom.

It is however nice seeing the likes of Cosimo etc on the stripeys so massiv respeck (booyakasha).

Tried to find an earlier fred about funny footballer names, but instead offer these as possibles for your 2011/12 stripeys.

The page also has link to part 1.

Reebok contract for all clubs is up at the end of the season. So clubs getting their own supplier.

Some talk around of Adidas for us.

Look forward to seeing some mockups over the next few months. Heard Newvastle were getting Errea, Melbourne and Sydney Nike and that's about it. In the meantime, here is a Sydney mockup:

Problem is, I don't think they are going to be with Reebok.

Third kit is nice but why do they need one? No one else even plays in blue except Tards and then light blue isn't a clash anyway.

Its no longer a problem.

I quite like this pattern for the stripey on the nike kits, I wonder if it would work in yellow. It works because of the dark blue here..

Misleading statement :  you're inferring that it works in blue.
